Conor McGregor has hit back at claims he might be ‘using’ performance-enhancing drugs, after flaunting his jaw-dropping physique on social media.
The Irishman uploaded footage on Friday of him flexing his muscles during a gym session, which prompted a comment implying he could be using steroids.
‘What are you using? I want some of that,’ asked blogger Matt Marenic on Twitter, before closing out his comment with a laughing emoji.
Conor McGregor hit back at steroid suggestions after flaunting his physique on social media
The Irishman insisted he was ‘using’ nothing more than a diet of whisky, stout and organic beef
Clearly irked by the suggestion, McGregor replied with a brief description of his diet, which included nothing more than his own brands of whiskey and stout, as well as organically grown beef.
He said: ‘Proper Twelve and Forged Irish Stout. Served alongside my own, organically grown, Irish beef, served on a hot stone. Tidl spray for pain.’
During the video, the shirtless UFC fighter flexed his bulky biceps and inked skin in a pair of black joggers whilst screaming down the camera lens.
McGregor has been on the sidelines since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021
McGregor, who broke his leg during his last fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021, has since been working his way back to peak condition on the sidelines.
During his time out of action, the 34-year-old has been busy undergoing a handful of side projects, such as filming a remake of Road House alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
He and his manager are confident that ‘Notorious’ will make a return during the first quarter of 2023.
