Erik ten Hag has dismissed claims that Marcus Rashford stormed down the tunnel without acknowledging the away fans after Man United‘s 2-0 defeat at West Ham.
United suffered their 13th loss of the season at the hands of David Moyes side in Saturday’s early kick-off, making it the club’s worst start to a season since the 1930s.
For the fourth consecutive game, Ten Hag left Marcus Rashford on the bench, preferring to start Alejandro Garnacho on the left of his front three instead of the England frontman.
Rashford, however, did make it off the bench, with the Dutch boss giving him just over half an hour with the game still goalless.
But following the final whistle and the Hammers‘ victory, Rashford apparently went straight down the tunnel and didn’t applaud the Red Devils travelling support.

However, when asked about Rashford’s apparent lack of appreciation to the fans, Ten Hag shot down the claim.
‘I haven’t seen it. I’m not sure if that happened.’ He told reporters after the game.
Two second half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudas saw West Ham record consecutive wins over United and leapfrog them in the Premier League table.

United, who gave a debut to 19-year-old Willy Kambwala in defence as their injury woes continue to mount, have now failed to score four consecutive hames in all competitions for the first time since 1992.
For Rashford, his disappointing season continues. The 26-year-old, who scored 30 goals for United last year, has only notched twice so far this campaign and hasn’t started a game for the club since the defeat to Newcastle earlier this month.
Along with Rashford’s struggles, Rasmus Hojlund still awaits his first Premier League goal, while Antony is also yet to get off the mark this season.
