Drake’s new face tattoo raises eyebrows as fans wonder about the meaning

The tattoo is in a pretty obvious place

Rapper Drake has gotten a new tattoo that has sparked debate among his fans, as it is just above his right eyebrow.

He was photographed on Saturday with the word ‘miskeen’ tattooed just above his eyebrow in very small letters.

The word translates to ‘poor’ or ‘pathetic’ in Arabic and Amharic but is commonly used in the hitmaker’s hometown of Toronto to describe a “sweet and innocent” person, according to NOW Toronto.

The singer himself has not published anything to provide context for the tattoo and what it may mean to him, not that he necessarily owes that information to anyone.

None of his representatives have provided any comment on the tattoo either.

Fans react to Drake tattoo

Naturally, some people are very quick to be negative about the tattoo and the idea that the rapper is calling himself poor, when it would appear obvious that he isn’t.

“The dude lives in a 150m dollar mansion,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“If Drake is miskeen what’s the word for the rest of us?” another chimed in.

“The way Drake is anything but Miskeen,” a third added.

It was reported by the US Sun recently that Drake‘s mansion in Toronto is worth over 100 million dollars. He referred to this home as ‘The Embassy’.

The property features a marble interior and touches of modern Art Deco finishes. A NBA-regulated basketball court can even be found inside the sprawling home.

“It’s overwhelming high luxury,” the “God’s Plan” singer Architectural Digest in 2020. “That message is delivered through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and the ceilings.”
