She’s attracted criticism for her treatment of hospitality staff
Brittany Mahomes is arguably the second most influential wife and girlfriend (WAG) in all of sports, certainly in the NFL, and she has caused her latest viral outing on social media but this time it’s due to how she decides to tip waiting-on staff at bars and restaurants.
In a video posted online, she was criticised by a bar staff and server for refusing to tip the staff.
The encounter happened in the past and she is said to have hit over $100 and didn’t tip any of the employees and that she was said to have been “unpleasant”.
In a TikTok posted by @jessica0c0nn0r, she made the revelations about the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ star quarterback and warned her that people will remember the interactions she has with them because of her celebrity status, thus she shouldn’t be rude.
“I only judge people based on their character,” the blonde user said in the video on the Chinese social media platform. “And I think one of the easiest ways to judge someone’s character is by how they treat someone in a position lesser than them.
“And let’s just say, character assessed.”
Not Brittany’s first criticism in 2023
As one of the most prominent NFL female personalities, Mahomes is looked to and judged quite often and she’s had her fair share in 2023, even hitting back at the haters on Instagram recently.
She attracted criticism earlier in the year, and by extension Taylor Swift, for their association with Jackson Mahomes at Chiefs games at the Arrowhead Stadium.
The younger brother of Patrick is currently charged with sexual crimes and is pending trial and their fellow women have wondered and asked how they can associate themselves with someone like that.
Leading into Swift, Mahomes has also been accused by her fans of attempting to copy the Grammy-winning artist’s outfits and style, in what appears to be an implication that Mahomes is using Swift to piggyback herself to greater fame.
Now the tipping scandal makes that a trio, but whether the criticism is fair or not is for you to judge. Mahomes will likely take no notice of a TikTok user calling her out to a relatively small audience.
