Why haven’t Drake and DJ Khaled addressed the Gaza crisis? DJ Vlad raises questions

DJ Vlad has called out Drake and DJ Khaled for their silence on the current war between Israel and Hamas. While many have taken to social media to express their opinions on the conflict, the two musicians have remained silent.

DJ Vlad took to (formerly known as Twitter) to express his disappointment, stating that because Drake was brought up Jewish and Khaled is Palestinian-American, they should speak out.

“It’s because both are so thirsty to maintain their relevance that they wouldn’t dare risk insulting a segment of their fanbase. Heaven forbid that Drake might debut at #2 behind Taylor Swift because some of his Palestinian fans chose to not stream his album. And it would be the end of the world if Khaled sold a few less sneakers because some Jewish people decided not to buy his Jordans,” Vlad tweeted.

Vlad went on to compare the current situation to that of Tupac, stating that “that’s the difference between artists of today and timeless legends like 2Pac. You know damn well Pac would be the first one to speak out about something so close to home.”

Vlad has called out other celebrities

This isn’t the first time DJ Vlad has called out notable figures on social media. Last month, he criticized Nicki Minaj for a song snippet she released where she seems to imply that she has a gang that will shoot someone upon her command.

“Nicki Minaj’s husband is on house arrest for threatening Offset,” Vlad began. “Right after that, she previews a song on IG saying she got killers who will pull up and do what she say. This was the same Nicki who threatened to send her husband to Akademiks’ house for his comments about her.”

Vlad continued, “To all the men out there, I don’t care how fat her ass is or how good the sex is. Avoid women like Nicki who use men as crash dummies like the plague. I said what I said.”

While Drake and Khaled have yet to speak out about the ongoing conflict, many other musicians have taken to social media to express their support for Palestine. Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Gigi Hadid are just a few of the celebrities who have voiced their opinions on the matter.
