The performer went on to speak about how he creatively channeled the stress of the pandemic and the responsibilities of fatherhood.

‘When I would walk down into my studio in the basement, every day I crossed that threshold, it felt like the right decision to write something that felt outside of the experience that everyone, including the whole world, was going through,’ he said.

Joseph then stated that he was glad to have been able to spend a considerable amount of time with his first child during the pandemic.

‘I can really feel that connection we formed, that bond has been built between us and I’m really glad that happened. I’ll be reaping from that year for the rest of my life,’ he said.
