On January 2, Xports News reported that Jisoo (Blackpink) will carry out solo activities under the management of the family company – Biomom – founded by her brother.

A few days ago, a recruitment post from a company called Blissoo was spread on social networks, with a picture of Jisoo. Blissoo introduces itself as a startup company, aiming to “grow globally and faster than anyone else in the Kpop industry”.

Jisoo’s image and company name made the public speculate that this is a separate company that Jisoo founded, after all 4 Blackpink members (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) decided not to renew their individual contracts with YG. Entertainment.

However, according to Xports News, Blissoo is a subsidiary of Biomom, with Jisoo’s brother as CEO. Biomom is a functional and nutritional food brand for children. Biomom plans to expand its business into the entertainment field with Blissoo, and signs a contract with Jisoo to support her in developing her solo career.

Responding to this information, a representative of Biomom company said: “We do not know the Director’s family relationship clearly.”

However, this news is causing mixed debates on social networks. Many fans supported Jisoo’s decision when she surrendered to her brother’s company.

Besides, many viewers are worried about Jisoo’s future. Because Biomom is a nutritional food company, and has nothing to do with the entertainment or art industry. This means that Jisoo will not have the most favorable relationship to develop.

“This is quite risky. Jisoo’s brother’s company produces food for children. I wonder how equipped they are to manage a big Kpop idol like Jisoo. It seems like a strange last minute decision. It would be better if she joined another suitable company,” an audience commented on Allkpop.

Meanwhile, at the end of December 2022, Jennie announced the establishment of her own company ODD ATELIER (OA) to develop her solo career.
