New photos of BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, who have enlisted in the military, have been released.
On the 4th, photos of trainees gathered together after a chemical warfare training were posted on the 10th Company’s cafe of The Camp Training Center (23-22 Division). In the revealed photos, Jungkook wore a BTS helmet with the number ’59’, while Jimin, next to him, wore a helmet with the number ’60’.
Jungkook had his hand on Jimin’s shoulder, and the two garnered attention as they emitted soldier-like gaze.
Fans positively reacted to the news, expressing sentiments such as “Jungkook and Jimin appearing side by side in every photo,” “The chemical warfare training must have been tough, glad they completed it safely,” and “They look like professional soldiers. They have an incredible presence even in the military.”
Jungkook and Jimin enlisted together on December 12th of last year at the Army 5th Infantry Division Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. Interestingly, this division is where BTS’s eldest member, Jin, is serving as an instructor. Although they were once fellow members of BTS, they now have the possibility of meeting as an instructor and trainee in the military.
Jungkook and Jimin are expected to spend the initial 5 weeks of basic military training together at the same training center and then be assigned to the same unit for the remainder of their military service. Both are scheduled to be discharged on June 11, 2025. Wishes for their healthy discharge are pouring in.
After completing their military service, BTS is scheduled to reunite as a complete group in June 2025. Expectations are high for BTS, who gained unprecedented popularity, to set new records after their return.
