Woods has two children with his ex wife Elin Nordegren, who were married from 2004 to 2010.

The couple split after the golfer was involved in a 𝑠e𝑥 scandal where several women came forward and alleged to have relations with him.

In February that year he spoke out and admitted being unfaithful.

Now the couple’s main focus is the children, who spend equal time with both parents.

Elin said in an interview with People: “My relationship with Tiger is centred around our children and we are doing really good – we really are – and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father.”

Sam is the eldest of the golf pro’s children, and was born on June 8, 2007.

The 12-year-old was born just 24 hours after her dad became runner-up in the US Open.

Woods’ daughter’s name is inspired by his late father, Earl, whose nickname for Tiger was Sam.

He previously explained: “We wanted to have a name that would be meaningful to either side of the family, my side or Elin’s side, because she was born the day after Father’s Day, It just happened to fit.

He continued: “My father had always called me Sam since the day I was born. He rarely ever called me Tiger.

“I would ask him, ‘Why don’t you ever call me Tiger?’ He says, ‘Well, you look more like a Sam.”

Charlie was born on February 8, 2009, the same year the pair’s marriage was in trouble.

The 11-year-old takes after his father in terms of his interests.

He tied for second place at the US Kids Golf event in 2016.

Woods also told Golf.com that his children are both “keen into soccer”.

He continued: “If they want to play golf, that’s great. If they don’t, that’s fine too. As long as they have a good time playing sports.

“I find that a lot of fun now, to be able to physically get out and pass the ball around with them.

“I get such a big kick out of watching them compete and play. It’s so much fun to see how happy and passionate they are about soccer.”

Woods has also been frank with his kids about what happened between himself and their mother.

He previously told Time: “I’ve taken the initiative with the kids, and told them upfront, ‘Guys, the reason why we’re not in the same house, why we don’t live under the same roof, mommy and daddy, is because daddy made some mistakes.”

He also said that Elin is “one of my best friends” and they know that the “most important things in our lives are our kids”.

Woods recently posted a picture of Sam and Charlie with his girlfriend Erica Herman.

He captioned the photo: “Masters Champions Dinner quarantine style. Nothing better than being with family.”
