Jason Cundy was seriously impressed by Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez in this afternoon’s win against Fulham.
The Blues secured an important 1-0 home win over rivals Fulham on Saturday in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have temporarily moved up to eighth in the division table with three points. In fact, they’ve now got four victories in their previous five league games.
Cole Palmer was yet again the match-winner this weekend, scoring another from the penalty spot. It’s frightening to think where the team would be without him this season!

Jason Cundy really enjoyed the performance from Blues midfielder Enzo Fernandez in the derby win versus Fulham. He even named him Chelsea’s best player on the park.
“My man of the match, Enzo. I think he’s been excellent,” Cundy said via Chelsea’s 5th Stand App (2:20pm, 13 January).
Enzo Fernandez against Fulham
We agree that it was one of Fernandez’s strongest performances for a while in a Chelsea shirt.
The 22-year-old central midfielder produced some magical moments with the ball at his feet, including creating a couple of good chances going forward.
It does feel like with every week we’re starting to see this midfield partnership next to Moises Caicedo grow into something a bit more substantial. There’s also Conor Gallagher sat just in front running the hard yards.
Fernandez has serious quality in his boots and we want to see him on the ball as much as possible.
Chelsea are going to keep winning games and climbing the league as this midfield set-up really takes shape.
