Lewis Hamilton showcases his quirky sense of style yet again in orange and brown tie-dye all-in-one ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton continued to showcase his quirky sense of style as he headed to qualifying ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina Circuit on Saturday.

The British world champion cut a stylish figure in an eye-catching orange and brown tie-dyed all-in-one outfit.

The Formula One star, 38, kept his head down as he appeared focused ahead of the race on Sunday which marks the end of this year’s season.

Staying comfy, the outfit appeared loose fitting as the trousers cut a baggy fit around the sportsman’s legs.

Completing the look, Lewis opted for some brown leather combat boots, while he shaded his eyes behind some chunky black shades.

Tying his dark and golden braids back in a ponytail, he accessorised the look with his signature chunky silver chain necklace.

Lewis’ impressive array of tattoos were proudly on show as he flaunted his toned arms.

Yet it was an unsuccessful day for the driver, after he failed to make Q3, meaning the Brit will start in 11th for Sunday’s race.

Meanwhile Max Verstappen will start the season-finale in pole position after a scintillating qualifying performance.

The world champion – who secured his 12th pole of the season – will be joined on the front row by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

It comes after Lewis was spotted strolling along the track on Thursday, as a fan desperately attempted to get a selfie with him.

The F1 sensation cut a bold figure in an electric blue buttoned shirt that featured shoulder lapels and no sleeves.

He paired the eccentric top, which put his intricate sleeves of tattoos and toned arms on full display, with a matching pair of oversized trousers.

Negotiations: It comes just days after Lewis was at the centre of a storm of transfer rumours.

Upping the glamour, the sportsman finished his look with a pair of Burberry Leather Trek Boots, worth over £1,000, and £470 women’s BOTTEGA VENETA sunglasses.

The fan, wearing a VIP lanyard, was captured sporting a white t-shirt and denim shorts as she leaned over for a snap.

It comes just days after Lewis was at the centre of a storm of transfer rumours.

The star denied seeking a mouth-watering move to Red Bull – instead claiming the world championship-winning team approached him.

The seven-time world champion was responding to Mail Sport’s revelation in which Red Bull team principal Christian Horner claimed someone close to Hamilton had been in touch to inquire whether they had a seat available.

That was earlier in the year when Hamilton’s contract negotiations with Mercedes dragged on. The 38-year-old has since penned a new deal to keep him at the Silver Arrows until the end of 2025 for £50million a year.

Lewis, in the paddock ahead of Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, said: ‘Christian messaged me.

‘I would be more than happy to race against Max (Verstappen) in the same car. That would be wonderful. But I don’t think he wants me to be his team-mate.’

Asked if he had approached Red Bull, Hamilton said: ‘No. I did not.

‘I checked with everyone in my team and nobody has spoken to them but they have tried to reach out to us.’

Asked whether he thought it strange Horner had mentioned his name this week, the Briton said: ‘Not really. If you think about it there are a lot of people here who like to drop my name in conversations because they know it will make waves…

‘And if you are a little bit lonely and are not getting much attention that is the perfect thing to do – just to mention my name.

‘He’s stirring things.

‘I did tell Toto (about the claimed contact). I have so much respect for him and we have a great relationship. If people think those things (about leaving) it is never positive.

‘I replied to him (Horner) on my new phone. It was months later. I just said congratulations on the amazing season and that I hope we are able to compete with you soon, and he replied repeating the same thing (presumably about catching up).

‘Just stepping into the best car wouldn’t do much for me. Working with my team to beat them would be better for my legacy.’

That first part of that statement may technically be true, but it is believed to have been Hamilton’s father Anthony, rather than a paid member of his staff, who contacted Horner.

The plot thickens, with Hamilton claiming: ‘I picked up my old phone which I just found at home. It has my old number. I switched it on and hundreds of messages came through and one was from Christian to get together and have a catch-up at the end of the season.’

Why Horner would want to speak to Hamilton at the end of the campaign is unclear to say the least.

Pressed on whether Horner had specifically brought up the idea of driving for them, Hamilton said: ‘He just said about having a catch-up.’
