Putin has vowed to use all means of destruction available to Russia if the West supplies nuclear weapons to Kyiv in his strongest threat against nuking Ukraine yet. The Russian President asked on Thursday: ‘If the country which we are essentially at war with now becomes a nuclear power, what do we do?’ It comes after the New York Times reported last week that a number of unidentified Western officials had suggested outgoing US President Joe Biden could give Ukraine nuclear weapons before he leaves office.

The ex-chief of MI6 today declared that Britain must ‘face up to the fact’ that Russia believes it is fighting an ‘actual’ war with the West, rather than just Ukraine. Sir Richard Dearlove, who led Britain’s secret intelligence service from 1999 to 2004, told Sky News: ‘I don’t think there’s any point in beating about the bush,’ adding that the US and Europe are in a ‘very dangerous situation’. ‘(Polish Prime Minister) Donald Tusk has referred to it as a pre-war situation. I think he’s wrong. I think it’s an actual war,’ he said.

Australia passes world-first legislation banning children from using social media – with tech giants set to face $50M fines if they don’t adhere to the strict new rules

Young Aussies aged under 16 will be banned from social media by the end of next year after federal parliament passed world-first legislation. The Senate passed laws to block under-16s from platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to protect their mental health late on Thursday night. The bill passed the Senate by 34 votes to 19 on the final parliament sitting day for 2024.

Horrifying bodycam shows Houston mom mowed down by cop before screaming children sob by her body

Police screamed in panic and desperately tried to revive a mother they ran over in the street as her distraught children watched, bodycam and dashcam footage shows. Desire Pool, 41, was mowed down at full speed by Houston policewoman Shelby Kennedy at 9.52pm on September 19 and died on the road despite CPR efforts. The Houston Police Department released video from five differnet angles just hours before Thanksgiving showing Pool being hit, and the immediate aftermath.
