General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) will drop a bombshell-with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) possibly in a coma or dead, he was going to drop the charges!
Nina went to reason with Cyrus and strike a deal the minute she found out Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had beaten him up, as Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) waited outside.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Put A Hit On Cyrus Renault
Sonny had put a hit on Cyrus, and sent Dex to carry it out-Dex’s plans were to disguise himself as a doctor and inject Cyrus’ IV with something.
The substance was to give him a fatal heart attack, so it would look like a natural death, since Cyrus had a near fatal heart attack before, when beaten in Pentonville.
Just as Dex got to the hospital near Cyrus’ room, there was Nina at the Nurses’ Station asking his room number to visit him.
Dex hung around with his phone silenced so he wouldn’t be detected, as Sonny tries to put a stop on the hit but can’t get Dex on the phone.
Something or someone makes Sonny change his mind, after Dex also tried to get him to change his mind.
GH Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Can’t Reach Dex Heller
Dex may even have his phone shut off because he can’t risk someone knowing he’s there to kill Cyrus and waits until he sees Nina’s out of the room.
Sonny can’t risk going to the hospital in person to stop Dex, and there’s no one there he can call to stop him either, so unless someone else interrupts he’s dead.
Dex can’t stop the heart monitor or unplug it unless he does so after the injection is done, and then manages to get out in time.
If he were to do that, the room would be swarmed with hospital personnel trying to save Cyrus’ life, because shutting off the monitor would set off an alarm.
Once Cyrus’ heart stops it will go off anyway, so Dex has to complete the task and get away very quickly!
General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Corinthos Drops A Bombshell
Cyrus may never get the chance to actually withdraw the charges against Sonny, and if Nina was smart she recorded him agreeing to it on her phone-on video, not just audio.
It stands to reason that she does record him agreeing to drop the charges on a video on her phone, because if he didn’t she could use it as leverage.
If Dex has been successful, even if Cyrus isn’t dead but in a coma due to medical personnel responding quickly to the heart monitor alarm, at least Nina has that video.
Chances are, the bombshell Nina drops is proof of Cyrus planning to drop the charges against Sonny.
With Dex already waiting and Sonny not being able to reach him to call off the hit, Cyrus may never be able to go through with his promise.
