The team returned from its game in El Salvador and is ready to continue its preparation tour.
Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami are gearing up for a preseason match against FC Dallas on Monday after their recent draw in El Salvador.
Following the 0-0 result on the road, the team traveled directly to Dallas for their second preseason game ahead of the 2024 MLS season.
The match will be held at the former Cotton Bowl at 18:00 ET, with the stadium stirring memories for Argentine fans as the place where Diego Maradona played his final World Cup match in 1994 before returning a positive doping test.
The game, to be broadcast live on the MLS website, is expected to take place in freezing temperatures, likely below zero degrees Celsius.
Inter Miami’s tour will extend to Saudi Arabia, where they will face Cristiano Ronaldo’s team Al Nassr on February 1. The upcoming weeks also include matches against Al Hilal on January 29.
Martino’s squad to face FC Dallas
The squad called up by coach Gerardo Martino for the Dallas match includes key players such as Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
The Cotton Bowl, with a capacity for 92,000 fans, will host an FC Dallas match for the first time in 15 years, following the franchise’s move to the Toyota Stadium.
Following the FC Dallas game, Inter Miami will return home for a week of training before their trip to Saudi Arabia.
