Cristiano Ronaldo Jr chose to focus on the match over indulging another player
The opposition player tried to start a conversation with him but was snubbed
What on earth is going on at Newcastle?! Uncertainty over Joelinton and Callum
Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has invited comparisons with his father for his nonchalant behaviour during an Al-Nassr youth match.
The budding footballer, 13, cut a detached figure while playing for the Saudi Arabian side as an opposition player from Al-Shabab tried to chat with him.
Footage shows Ronaldo Jr putting his finger to his lips and peering out of the corner of his eye as the kid approaches him.
He briefly puts an arm around the neck of his opponent to acknowledge him before shrugging him off – and scarcely looks at him during the whole interaction, choosing to focus on the game rather than socialising.
Fans in the comments section of the video were quick to point out the similarities with his father, whose hands-on-hips stance he was even imitating.

Fans have compared Cristiano Ronaldo Jr to his father after seeing his detached attitude during a youth game
‘The upbringing of a father,’ commented one Instagram user.
‘Selfish just like his father,’ another critiqued, rather harshly.
‘He told him Messi is better than his dad,’ joked one.
‘Same as Ronaldo,’ added another.
Ronaldo Jr has learned his craft at some of the best academies in world football at Juventus, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.
One report claimed he was competing against players two years his senior while at Madrid.
Ronaldo Sr signed for Al-Nassr in December 2022, penning a £175million-per-year dea after an acrimonious exit from United, and his son followed him to Saudi Arabia to continue his development.
