Inside Cristiano Ronaldo’s billionaire lifestyle

The soccer star, recently, with just a simple move of the hand, cost a multi-billion dollar beverage brand almost $5 billion

Cristiano Ronaldo makes some serious money. According to Forbes, in 2020, he became the first active team-sport athlete to surpass $1 billion in career earnings, and his four-year contract with Juventus alone is worth an average of $64 million a year. This, mind you, is not counting his lifetime contract with Nike – one that also allows him lucrative deals for a CR7-branded clothing line, accessories, gyms and hotels.

After spending years as a pivotal part of the attack at Real Madrid in Spain, Ronaldo expanded his hospitality business with the grand opening of his Madrid hotel, Pestana CR7. The other two branches are already functional in Lisbon, Mexico and Funchal, in his home country Portugal.

While that’s for his hotels, let’s acquaint you with the multi-million dollar houses he owns around the globe.

Euro 2020: Inside Cristiano Ronaldo’s luxurious homes1. A holiday home in Marbella

It was this holiday house in Marbella where Cristiano and his family were spending their lockdown, before moving to Turin days before the restart of the Serie A, where Ronaldo plays for Juventus. Ronaldo’s holiday house, which is a short walk from the Mediterranean Sea, comes with features like a built-in theatre, LED driveways and an infinity pool. Inside, it’s a picture of sleek, modern luxury, with an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, an outdoor dining area, a spacious garden, and vast bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes. The villa is designed by Otergo Group, a renowned luxury developer. See more pictures, here.

2. An apartment in Trump Tower, NYC

Known for his maximalist approach to life, Cristiano Ronaldo’s homes demonstrate his bold personality. His apartment at the Trump Tower is no different. Bought for $18.5 million in 2015, Ronaldo roped in Juan Pablo Molyneux to spruce up the interiors. While the 2,500-sq ft pad still belongs to the Portugese player, Vanity Fair recently reported that it was on the market.

3. A villa in Turin, Italy

Ronaldo shared this image of his quarantine at his Turin villa after testing positive for covid-19.

It is his home in Turin, Italy that wraps up Ronaldo’s $47 million property portfolio: which once  included a luxurious pad in La Finca, Madrid, and was reportedly sold. His Italian mansion, however, is one he still owns thanks to his services for Italian giants Juve. Complete with an indoor and outdoor pool, enormous living areas and a full-service gym, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, the mansion is perfect for Ronaldo and his family.

Euro 2020: Cristiano Ronaldo and his mean machines

It is tough (read: impossible) to keep track of the number of cars Ronaldo owns. When asked by Jonathan Ross on his talk show, the footballer chuckled and said he doesn’t know either:

While we can’t tell how many, we’ve picked out some head-turners from his collection.

1. Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron, one of his early buys, hits the top speed of 407km/h.

2. A couple Ferraris – Ferrari F12 TDF and Ferrari 599 GTO

The Ferrari GTO

Wrapped in a red and white respectively, the two Ferraris bring an Italian dash to Ronaldo’s car collection, well-aligned with his club duties at the Italian Serie A. The former, a Ferrari F12 TDF (Tour de France), is a limited edition beauty. The other one, a Ferrari 599 GTO has an interesting story – Ronaldo crashed his previous one but simply went ahead and bought another one since he liked the car.

3. Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4

Two beasts in one frame – Ronaldo and his Lambo.

Sleek, fast and destructive, the Lamborghini Aventador is pretty much a metaphor for a full-steam Cristiano Ronaldo on the football pitch. A fitting set of wheels for the footballer, it goes from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds.

4. Mercedes-Benz GLE 63

Ronaldo with his Mercedes-Benz GLS

With a AMG 5.5 litre V8 Biturbo engine at its core, the Mercedes Benz GLE 63 is everything you’d want from a sports cars design – shiny finish, aerodynamic and a looooong bonet.

5. Rolls Royce Phantom

The iconic Rolls Royce Phantom

The ultimate status symbol, this one comes with night vision and a distinct laser-light system. And, is what, we imagine, Ronaldo drives to his gala nights and probably to the Ballon d’Or nights.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, the unstoppable 36-year-old, scored a brace against France to go level with as the highest-scorer of international goals ever, with former Iran player Ali Daei. For Ronaldo to become the highest-scoring international player ever is imminent.
