The Blackbeard pirates complete their goal while fights intensify on Egghead in One Piece 1107.
One Piece chapter 1107 dropped recently and it was quite easily one of the very best chapters in the entire Egghead Island arc. This arc has been nothing short of spectacular, and ever since the story hit the 1100s, it has only been getting better. Things are looking far more exciting going forward, and fans are eagerly waiting in anticipation to see what happens next.
Of course, this week, One Piece returned after a 2-week break, and delivered in quite some style. This week’s chapter was nothing short of mind-blowing for the fans as the many plot details that it tackled, along with the fights that it set up, all made for an amazing chapter.
The Giant Pirates Arrive
Of course, One Piece began right where the previous one left off and that was with the arrival of the Giant Pirates on Egghead Island. Fans know the Giant Pirates very well, having been introduced to their two co-captains in the Little Garden arc. From there onwards, the Giant Pirates made quite an impression in the Enies Lobby Arc as well, however, this time, through Oimo and Kashi, who fans surprisingly got to see in One Piece chapter 1107 as well. In this chapter, the Giant Pirates had already made landfall on Egghead, which just goes to show the incredible efficiency that they work with.
It also goes to show that the Egghead Island arc will not go on for too long now, given that the Giant Pirates have already started their assault. Their incredible work on and around the island has already begun, and it was reported that the Giant Pirates have already sunk 30 ships around Egghead. For those who do not remember, around 100 ships of all shapes and sizes surround Egghead Island, 20 of which are giant warships. They have sunk 30 of presumably smaller and medium ships, which is still putting in quite a lot of work. They are still only just getting started and, collectively, with the Pacifistas, they can wreak havoc on Egghead and turn everything upside down. Usopp and Nami clearly got to see the Giant Pirates in action and it made for a nice moment between them and set up great things for the Elbaf arc, which is to come later down the line.
The Egghead Battles Rage On
One of the most exciting parts of One Piece chapter 1107 was the incredible battles that it set up. Fans know that the Egghead Island arc has not been lacking when it comes to the battles that it has showcased and, once again, this week’s chapter just goes to show that the best is still yet to come. With Luffy having gone Gear 5 last time around, it was a given that the fans would see him do something incredible with his powers. One Piece chapter 1107 opened on a rather heartfelt note in that regard, as Bonney was in tears and told Luffy that she had been looking for him, which was a proper nod to the title of the chapter as well. Luffy, completely oblivious to the fact that he is Nika, told her that he has always been around her and questioned her ability that he used earlier.
To properly teach her how to throw an attack, Luffy demonstrated the powers of Gear 5 against Saturn. Using an incredibly powerful attack, called Dawn Gatling, Luffy launched a terrific strike on Saturn, all the while taking one of his attacks in return. This strike was so powerful that Saturn was sent from the center to the edge of the island, which just goes to show how dangerous Gear 5 really is. At the same time, it also set up an interesting plot thread that was unraveled later in the chapter. Gear 5 was put on full display, however, he was not the only member of the Straw Hat Pirates who got attention in this week’s chapter.
On the Labophase, Zoro was finally seen fighting against Lucci. This battle has been continuing for quite a while now and, in One Piece chapter 1107, it was seen going on once again. As the battle continued, it became evidently clear that they are evenly matched as both were somewhat injured and huffing and puffing, showcasing that they are opponents of equal standing.
Jinbe continues his quest to get Zoro from his duel against Lucci, while Brook and Lilith tried to stop the ship at the meeting point.
Perhaps the most exciting part of One Piece chapter 1107 came after Luffy sent Saturn flying away. Kizaru took the opportunity to attack Vegapunk and Bonney and assassinate them. However, only this time, he was completely blocked by Sanji. Sanji didn’t just block his attack but kicked it away, which was absolutely shocking to Kizaru himself. Just by looking at his facial expression, one could tell that he knew that this wasn’t normal. Sanji then went on to show his superior might as he claimed that his power of love is far superior to Kizaru’s lasers. To that, Kizaru responded by saying that if it were true, physics books that exist in the world are completely pointless, which just goes to show that Sanji’s strength surpasses logic and physics itself, once again, proving to be a testament to his incredible powers.
It is clear for the fans to see that the wings of the Pirate King are getting their shine here and they will continue fighting their battles. In the case of Sanji, he simply cannot abandon the battle, since Vegapunk is lying on the ground behind him and he cannot move due to the injury that he is carrying. Sanji will have to defend Vegapunk from Kizaru, while Luffy will most likely have to defeat Saturn for good.
The Blackbeard Pirates Complete Their Mission
Among all the chaos and action on Egghead Island, the Blackbeard Pirates were finally seen. This pirate crew was seen making landfall on Egghead quite a long time ago and finally, their mission was revealed to the fans. The Blackbeard Pirates appeared near Saturn when he was sent flying by Luffy. Caterina Devon, who fans know to be the Sixth Chip Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, touched Saturn, claiming that he has a very incredible ability up his sleeve. Now, it appears that Caterina Devon can not just transform into Saturn but also utilize his powers, which boosts her own strength tremendously.
Saturn was, unsurprisingly unharmed by Luffy’s attacks and engaged in conversation with the Blackbeard Pirates, claiming that he did not expect the level 6 Pirates of Impel Down to follow Teach. Devon responded by saying that Teach is special, which implies that Blackbeard himself has a special bloodline.
According to the Blackbeard Pirates, they want to claim the entire world, which is a dream they have synonymous with Rocks D. Xebec, the man who once ruled the seas nearly 40 years ago. With that, the mission of the Blackbeard Pirates was complete and they prepared to leave the island, only to be met by Caribou, who wanted to be taken to Blackbeard himself as he has been a lifelong fan of him.
