Emma Stone made a rare red carpet appearance with her husband Dave McCary at the Problemista screening in New York on Tuesday after the couple teamed up to co-produce the movie.
The Oscar-winning actress, 35, beamed as she stood alongside the writer and comedian, 38, for their joint project at Village East Cinema.
Problemista follows the story of aspiring toy designer Alejandro a young man from El Salvador struggling to bring his unusual ideas to life in New York. The film’s director and writer Julio Torres also lead stars, alongside Tilda Swinton and Greta Lee.
Emma and Dave co-produced the film, under their production company Fruit Tree, which they launched in 2020, with Julio and Ali Herting.
The Poor Things star looked sharp in a black blazer worn over a sheer black polka dot dress for the screening.

Emma’s red hair was swept up in a bun and she accessorised with gold hoop earrings, while Dave rocked a grey tweed suit and a white turtleneck top.
The actress began dating Dave in June 2017, after they first met when Emma was hosting SNL, where Dave worked as a segment director, in 2016.
The couple revealed they were engaged in December 2019 via social media and tied the knot in 2020 after four years of dating.
They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Louise Jean McCary, in 2022.
After winning the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy in January, Emma thanked Dave in her speech.
‘Thank you. Oh, boy. Thank you very much. This is amazing. Thank you. Dave, I have to start with you really quickly. I love you very much. Thank you for everything,’ Emma said while pointing to her husband.
The Easy A actress previously gave an insight into her life as a mother during an interview on British daytime television show Lorraine.
Interviewer Mark Heyes asked Emma: ‘How has lockdown been for you? You’re now a mummy which is amazing.’

The actress replied: ‘It’s very, very exciting. I feel lucky with what lockdown has been but it has been an insane year.’
According to TMZ, the star chose the name, Louise Jean McCary, for her daughter as a sweet tribute to her grandmother, who is called Jean Louise.
‘Having a baby has brought them closer in a way they never expected,’ an insider close to the couple told Us Weekly at the time.
Dave remained ‘hands-on and helping with their daughter’ since they welcomed the child and Emma had been ‘soaking in all the precious moments of being a mom for the first time’.
Problemista is a new comedy film that follows aspiring toy designer Alejandro (Torres), a young man from El Salvador struggling to bring his unusual ideas to life in New York, as per the synopsis.
It continues: ‘As time runs out on his work visa, a job assisting an erratic art-world outcast becomes his only hope to stay in the country.’
The film is slated to be released in cinemas on Friday March 1.
