Unbelievable Workout Session: LeBron James and Myles Garrett Leave Travis Kelce in Awe with NFL-Inspired Training.

Cleveland sports icons came together for an epic workout

There aren’t many people who can compete with LeBron James in the weight room, but Myles Garrett is one of them. On the other hand, there aren’t many people who would dare call the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year “Lil Bro,” but King James is one of them.

A viral link up between the two Cleveland sports legends for an NFL-style workout caught the attention of everyone on social media, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

IRON SHARPENS IRON!!” James wrote in an Instagram post with photos and videos of his training session with Garrett. “Big Bro & Big Lil Bro getting after it! Giving him the full Blueprint and more!”

Clearly, the former Cavalier was impressed with the Cleveland Browns‘ star’s abilities in the gym.

“P.S. I know y’all know this already but he’s an ABSOLUTE BEAST!!” James said of Garrett.

Travis Kelce, a fellow Ohio native, showed an appreciation for the Cleveland collab, commenting a series of fire and flexing arm emojis on James’ Instagram post.

Could LeBron James play in the NFL?

The Lakers star proved that he can hang in the gym with the best defensive player in football, which should come as no surprise to those who have followed his career. In high school, he was the No. 1-ranked football prospect in Ohio, described as a “readymade” NFL wide receiver and a “taller, slower version of Randy Moss.”

Jay Brophy, who coached LeBron on the football team at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, told Bleacher Report that he had offers to play college football from “all the major schools,” such as Notre Dame, Miami, Alabama and Ohio State.

Furthermore, when the NBA lockout happened in 2011 and the season did not start on time, James received real offers to play in the NFL. He was offered contracts by Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys and Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks. LeBron had no doubt he could make an NFL roster if he put his mind to it.

“I would have made the team,” James told The Athletic in 2021. “One thing about it, I don’t mind working for something, so if I would have had to try out for the Cowboys or the Seahawks, or if I’d have stayed home and went back home to Cleveland, I’d have tried (out), but I would have made the team. I just know what I’m capable of doing on the football field.”

LeBron’s workout video gave another tease at his NFL potential, but for now, he will focus on the Lakers’ cross-town showdown with the Clippers as his 21st NBA season enters its final stretch.
