Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) was informed at the conclusion of The Boys season 3 of the unfavorable effects of consuming V-24, or Temp V, as it is sometimes called. The medicine has put him on borrowed time as the doctor informs him that he only has months to live, even if it may have given him the abilities he needed in his fight against Homelander (Antony Starr) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles).
But we find out in a brand-new deleted scene from the show’s DVD and Blu-Ray releases that Hughie (Jack Quaid) has fortunately avoided the same fate. Just after the doctor delivers the bad news, Butcher urges the menacing doctor to “kindly fuck off” before Hughie arrives.
“They said it will be a couple of months, a lot of migraines, but Iβm mostly all good,” he tells Butcher. “We stopped taking the V just in time, I guess. Have they told you?”. Interestingly, Butcher then lies to Hughie, replying: “Yeah, yeah same here. Arenβt we a couple of lucky fuckers, aye?”
To view the interaction, watch the entire clip above. The plot of Butcher and his subsequent deception about it will undoubtedly be prominent in the forthcoming fourth season of The Boys. While that one’s filming is coming to an end, a brand-new spin-off series called Gen V will also be available on Amazon Prime Video.
