While filming sequences for Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds, 47, and Hugh Jackman, 55, got into a lighthearted altercation on Monday in the south of England. Hugh was dressed in his well-known yellow and black Wolverine suit, while Ryan was decked up in the classic red and black Deadpool costume, complete with mask.
Ryan enthusiastically jumped onto Hugh’s back in the moment and put his arm around his neck. Hugh tried to throw him off, but Ryan’s hold was too tight at first. Hugh eventually gained his freedom, and the two performers strolled side by side in harmony.
Hugh and Ryan were the only people on set for these specific scenes. But Ryan’s stunt double came along for the shoot on Friday.
Deadpool 3 stars Ryan Reynolds, 47, and Hugh Jackman, 55, tussled on the grass as they continued filming the comedy-action movie in the south of England
Ryan was in full red and black Deadpool attire complete with the mask while Hugh wore just his yellow and black Wolverine suit
The star of the movie sprang onto the back of an enraged-looking Wolverine with great enthusiasm, wrapping one arm around his neck.
Hugh just filed for divorce from his wife of 27 years, which coincides with his comeback to the Wolverine role. In the 2017 film Logan, he gave the role his final performance.
Deadpool 3 filming started last year, but a US actor strike forced a four-month break in production from July to November. According to reports, the production was moved to the UK to satisfy Ryan’s obligations to his co-owned team, Wrexham FC.
Recent images from the set of Deadpool 3 teased another major X-Men cameo, with Hugh set to reprise his role alongside Sabretooth (Victor Creed). Fans were excited by the revelation of Sabretooth’s return, as tense scenes featuring Hugh and the character were filmed on a British beach before the temporary halt in filming caused by the strike.
