De Gea, 33, has had plenty of time on his hands, having not had a team since leaving Old Trafford at the end of last season.
The Spaniard has posted a series of pictures from his trip to the Caribbean to his Instagram account.

While he also posted a pair of selfies, looking a little red in the face.
Former team-mate Juan Mata didn’t let De Gea off the hook.
The Spaniard, 35, commented: “Did you get a little burnt?”
De Gea replied to his old pal with a crab emoji.
He also uploaded a video of himself playing tennis, whipping some forehands under some palm trees.
The clip attracted the attention of world No4 Daniil Medvedev.
He commented: “Better in tennis or rainbow?”
Alongside a pair of laughing emojis, De Gea responded: “Bro… both horrible.”
Victor Lindelof left a pair of heart emojis on the post.
And Marc Barta commented with a heart-eyes emoji.
Last month, De Gea was spotted taking Edurne and Yanay out for a heartwarming family bike ride.
He was subsequently linked with a free transfer to Barcelona, where he could potentially play second fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
