Emma Stone sprinted away from husband Dave McCary at the Oscars.
“Poor Things” star Emma Stone was an energetic thing at the 2024 Oscars.
A video posted to TikTok by Refinery29, showed the Best Actress winner dramatically sprinting away from her husband, Dave McCary, backstage at the award show while mid-conversation with Kirsten Dunst.
But the actress wasn’t angry or nervous — she was excited when the film she also produced won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Stone, 35, bolted through a crowd toward the TV to watch the victory speech.

“Oh my God, it’s Nadia and I love her!” Stone said, referring to Nadia Stacey, who was on-screen accepting the award alongside colleagues Mark Coulier and Josh Weston.
The “La La Land” star had plenty to celebrate at LA’s Dolby Theatre on Sunday night.
Besides winning her second Best Actress trophy and “Poor Things” taking home Best Makeup, director Yorgos Lanthimos’ film secured two more Oscars: Production and Costume Design.
On the topic of wardrobes, later in the ceremony, the actress had a slight, if memorable, mishap involving her mint-green Louis Vuitton gown.
Taking the stage to accept her Best Actress award, Stone acknowledged a tear in the back of her Vuitton frock and said, “Oh boy. My dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I’m pretty sure.”
Backstage, she confirmed her story to reporters.
“I generally do think I busted it during, ‘I’m Just Ken,’ ” Stone said of the song performed by her “La La Land” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love” co-star Ryan Gosling. “I was so amazed by Ryan and what he was doing, and that number just blew my mind. And I was right there, and I just was going for it, and, you know, things happen.”
The actress previously worked with Lanthimos on 2018’s “The Favourite,” which garnered Stone a Best Supporting Actress nod.
The duo will team up again on the upcoming “Kinds of Kindness,” which wrapped filming way back in December 2022.
