Sonny Is On His Last Leg As Jason Assumes The Lead Role In The Business With Carly On His Arm

General Hospital spoilers report Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is in dire straits, and he may be just starting to see signs of that truth peeking through in his life. Not feeling the best, Sonny is starting to withdraw from his social life.

He is spending more time cooped up at home with Ava Jerome (Maura West), and less time hob-nobbing with friends and family.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will Sonny Corinthos’s Wmpire Come Crumbling Down?

Still, he doesn’t seem to notice how malcontent he really is. Turning against all of the people who love him, Sonny has left himself isolated and primed for an emotional — and potentially mental — breakdown.

Without any traction on the investigation into who is targeting him, Sonny has felt pigeonholed into assuming everyone he knows could be the guilty party — including Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Will Sonny’s empire come crumbling down as he continues to pull away from everyone who could help him hold it together?

GH Spoilers— Coffee Is The Tip Of The Iceberg

Sonny is already feeling rather threatened by Jason moving in on what he sees as his territory.

Although they both still equally share ownership in Corinthos Coffee, Sonny doesn’t really want Jason anywhere near his imports.

Likewise, Jason wants nothing to do with Sonny’s illegitimate business ventures while he’s working as an informant for the FBI.

Instead, he’s taking this time to work on the right side of the law at their coffee empire. But it won’t end there.

As Jason moves into the coffee warehouse and starts increasing sales and success rates, Sonny will take issue with being shown up.

Then, when Jason seems to pull Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) into his orbit and further away from Sonny — who isn’t exactly welcoming them with open arms anyway — the don isn’t going to take that so well either.

General Hospital Spoilers — Tout Ava Jerome Chips Away At Sonny Corinthos

Although someone else has clearly arranged for tampering with Sonny’s medication, Ava will end up taking the brunt of the guilt and heat on that front.

Now that she has had Sonny’s medication tested and knows he’s only getting one-fifth of the dose he’s supposed to have every day, it’ll be on Ava that she doesn’t tell Sonny the truth.

Will she even aim to figure out who arranged for Sonny’s medication to be altered in the first place, or will she just take this opportunity to milk the situation for all it’s worth to her?

Either way, Sonny is certain to continue spiraling, which will only lead to more detrimental effects for his businesses on both sides of the law.

General Hospital Spoilers — Alone Again, Naturally

Now that Sonny is turning his back on almost everyone who has ever cared about him, he’ll soon find himself feeling more alone than ever.

There have been few circumstances over the years that have left Carly turning her back on Sonny in the same fashion.

Even when he pushes her away and behaves irrationally, she’s always there — waiting to pick him up when he falls.

Knowing he doesn’t have that person in his corner anymore is going to weigh heavily on Sonny, especially as he comes to realize Ava is no replacement for the truly genuine people in his life.

Having to accept that Carly and Jason really are coming together in the wake of her letting him go is going to sting. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
