Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney put aside their rivalry as they embrace during respectful post-fight moment

Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney were seen squashing their beef after duking it out for 12 rounds on Saturday night.

Garcia floored Haney three times as he won their grudge match by majority decision, but he didn’t take home the WBC super lightweight belt because he missed weight.

The 25-year-old dropped Haney in the seventh, tenth and eleventh rounds, with the champion forced to climb from the canvas for the first time in his professional career.

The judges scored the contest at 112-112, 114-110, 115-109 declaring Garcia the winner after a pulsating showdown that was called the ‘craziest fight’ ever by YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

In post-fight footage obtained by DAZN, the two long-time rivals were seen hugging before exchanging friendly words at the end of their seventh fight.

Garcia even shook hands with members of Team Haney before celebrating another win over the man he went 3-3 with during their epic series of amateur fights.

Concerns were raised about Garcia’s mental well-being after he bombarded his followers with a litany of bizarre social media posts in the lead-up to fight night, ranging from conspiracy theories to a video claiming he was dead.

Many had written him off before he had even stepped into the ring, but his speed and power proved too much for Haney, particularly his trademark left hook which caused the champion problems all night.

The 25-1 fighter addressed concern about his bizarre behaviour during his post-fight interview.

Garcia said: “Come on, you really thought I was crazy?

“You all lost your whole mind… You guys overrate everything, you guys hate on me because I’m pretty and s*** that’s f***ed up.”

Garcia admitted to drinking alcohol daily ahead of his best win yet.

He said: “I drank every single night.”

“What happened? I won. I’m not necessarily proud of it, but I’m just saying. It was a statement to say you guys can’t really f*** with me. I can do whatever I want.”

UFC superstar Conor McGregor bizarrely advised Garcia to ‘drink responsibility every night’ following his win over Haney, but it’s a habit he’ll want to kick ahead of their inevitable rematch.

Even though they hugged it out in the ring, Haney will be coming for revenge and Garcia will be desperate to beat him again and take his world title later this year.
