Vanessa and husband Cole Tucker are expecting their first child later this year
High School Musical actress Ashley is also pregnant with her second child
Former friend have not been seen interacting with each other since 2020
Ashley Tisdale would be happy to talk parenting and offer advice to Vanessa Hudgens, should she want it, according to insiders who have claimed the former High School Musical costars are not feuding – but are simply ‘out of touch.’
Ashley, 38, delighted fans last month with the news that she and husband Christopher French, 42, are expecting their second child together.
The happy update came just weeks after Vanessa, 35, confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her husband Cole Tucker, 27.
But fans hoping the pregnancies might help the formerly close pals to reconnect should prepare for disappointment, with insiders claiming play dates are not ‘on the horizon.’
‘Vanessa and Ashley have two completely different lives,’ an insider told DaiyMail.com exclusively. ‘If they were in the same room, it would feel as if time didn’t pass, but being in that room might be 30 years from now.’
Ashley Tisdale ‘only wishes the best’ for her High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, according to sources who have claimed the pair are ‘out of touch’
The source stressed that Suite Life of Zack & Cody star Ashley is happy for her former costar and would always be willing to provide support on her motherhood journey if asked.
The insider continued: ‘Ashley only wishes the best for Vanessa, especially now that she is pregnant, and if Vanessa in any way reached out for advice on motherhood, Ashley would give it out almost immediately.
‘But Ashley doesn’t anticipate any future play dates on the horizon. They are out of touch, out of sight, out of mind with each other.’
The pair first met on the set of a Sears commercial in 2004 before being cast in the hit Disney Channel movie trilogy, High School Musical, just one year later.
They fast became friends, and often posted about each other on social media and were pictured together at industry events.
When Ashley welcomed her daughter Jupiter, three, in 2021, Vanessa was one of the first to meet her and was given the nickname ‘Aunt Nessa.’
But the pair appear to have grown apart since 2020, with one of their last public interactions taking place that summer, when Vanessa shared a sweet post for Ashley’s birthday.
Despite the apparent rift, the source insisted that the pair were not feuding as some fans have speculated.

It came just weeks after the Disney Channel alum’s former BFF Vanessa, 35, confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband Cole Tucker, 27
‘There isn’t a feud,’ the insider stated. ‘It is basically that High School Musical is just like High School. You keep in touch with some people forever, you see some people from time to time or never again.
‘If Ashley doesn’t see Vanessa, it won’t be the end of the world. They have moved on in life and that is what happens.’

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ashley was asked to clarify her friendship status with Vanessa.
The Scary Movie 5 star simply replied: ‘ I haven’t seen her in a long time. I think, obviously, she’s working. I’m working. I have a daughter. So she has a full-time job.’
The lack of interaction between Ashley and Vanessa was most notable at the end of 2023 when Ashley was not present at Vanessa and Cole’s wedding – despite the fact Vanessa served as a bridesmaid at Ashley’s nuptials in 2014.
Fans have speculated that the former friends could have fallen out after Vanessa split from her partner of ten years, Austin Butler, in 2020.
Ashley is close friends with the Elvis actor, who she refers to as Jupiter’s ‘uncle,’ and has shared pictures of him playing with her daughter.

Speaking on a recent episode of the She Pivots podcast, Vanessa revealed she was ‘grateful’ for her split from Austin, 32, as she ended up meeting her forever person soon after.
‘I feel my last breakup has really catapulted me to a very, very special place, obviously,’ she said. ‘You pushed me to the right person!’
Ashley and Christopher started dating in 2012 and got married in September 2014.
They went on to announce their first pregnancy in September 2020. The Merry Happy Whatever star told People in 2019 that she had wanted to wait until the right time to start a family.
‘For me, it’s like, it’s okay to not want to start a family right away,’ the actress told the site. ‘People are always asking me about that, but it’s just not the right time.’
She announced her second pregnancy on Instagram last month and wrote: ‘We can’t wait to meet you.’
Her pals Maria Menounos and Sofia Richie offered their congratulations and hit the like button.
