With the TGL set to launch in January, Tiger Woods revealed who will be joining him in the four-man roster for the Jupiter Links Golf Club.
TGL, presented by SoFi, is a new golf league featuring six teams of PGA Tour stars and was formed by Woods and Rory McIlroy‘s new company, TMRW Sports. In addition to the team format, the league will incorporate advanced simulator technology into the competition.
After months of anticipation, Woods announced that Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner would join him at Jupiter Links GC.
‘I have already shared my excitement and optimism for TGL as a league and product,’ Woods said in a press release.
‘Now that we have finalized our roster with a team of world-class golfers, I am even more confident that this group will proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with our fans for years to come.’
Tiger Woods revealed his Jupiter Links Golf Club teammates for the upcoming TGL
No. 9 ranked Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner will join Woods in the simulator league
In 2022, Kim became the second-youngest player to win a PGA Tour since World War II
Kisner is a four-time PGA Tour champion and represented the US twice in the Presidents Cup
Homa is the No. 9 ranked golfer in the Official World Gold Rankings. In addition to six wins in the PGA Tour, Homa represented the United States in team golf on three occasions at the 2023 Ryder Cup, 2022 Presidents Cup, and 2013 Walker Cup – making him the top-ranked player in the club.
Kim is No. 23 in the OWGR and is a rising star in the sport. Kim has seven international victories under his belt on top of three PGA Tour wins.
At 20 years, one month, and 17 days, Kim became the second-youngest player to win a PGA Tour since World War II when he emerged victorious at the 2022 Wyndham Championship. He only trails Jordan Spieth, who set the record at the 2013 John Deere Classic.
Finally, Kisner brings his experience as a four-time PGA Tour champion and two-time representative of the US at the Presidents Cup.
‘Following Tiger’s career is one of the main reasons that I became an avid golfer’ Homa said. ‘I remember watching him win the 1997 Masters, and now getting to play alongside him has been amazing.’
‘It’s really exciting to call Tiger, Tom, and Kevin teammates. Thanks to TGL, I’ll be able to play with some of the best golfers in the world and bring this unique and exciting format to golf while also finding ways to connect with one of the best golf markets in the country in South Florida.’
The innovative team competition is set to launch on January 7, 2025, on ESPN and ESPN+
After being announced on August 2022, the launch was halted by a storm in November 2023
The storm did significant damage to TGL’s dome in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
After getting announced in August 2022, TGL’s January 2024 launch was delayed behind a storm in Florida that damaged their $50million facility at Palm Beach Gardens in November.
‘At this time, while we assess the damage, it is too early to determine the impact on our timelines,’ TGL said then.
Months later, the league is back on track and will launch on January 7, 2025, on ESPN and ESPN+.
‘I am so excited about playing in the TGL format with this group of guys. Obviously, I grew up inspired by Tiger Woods, but Max and Kevin are two of my favorite guys out on Tour,’ Kim said.
‘Both are genuinely good guys, but both also have a similar competitive fire. ‘It will be incredible to join these guys as teammates. To talk strategy with Tiger in a true competition is something I never dreamed could happen.’
