In his iconic role as hitman John Wick, Keanu Reeves has made a lasting impact on the world of cinema, leaving behind a trail of memorable performances, often with deadly consequences for his on-screen adversaries.
On Tuesday, it was Reeves himself who made an indelible mark, quite literally, as he participated in a Hand and Footprint Ceremony at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre. The ceremony coincided with the upcoming release of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” on Friday, and Reeves was joined by co-stars Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, Halle Berry, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, and Laurence Fishburne in commemorating this milestone.
During the event, Fishburne delivered an introductory speech, praising Reeves’ remarkable career spanning over four decades. Reeves, in turn, expressed his gratitude to be included in the esteemed tradition of the TCL Chinese Theatre, a place steeped in Hollywood history.
Reflecting on his journey from humble beginnings in Toronto to the heart of the film industry in Los Angeles, Reeves shared his deep-rooted passion for cinema and the enduring dream he shares with countless artists memorialized at the theatre.
Reeves’ handprints joined those of numerous legendary actors immortalized in the theatre’s forecourt, including Joan Crawford, Fred Astaire, Gary Cooper, Jack Nicholson, Vin Diesel, the late Doris Day, as well as recent additions such as the Avengers and the cast of The Big Bаng Theory.
