In recent months, Keanu Reeves has been occᴜpied with filming John Wick 4 in Berlin. On Tuesday, he returned to set to shoot eerie night scenes in the German capital.
The 56-year-old actor looked stylish in a dark grey suit as he wandered the streets near the iconic Sacred Heart Church, with a smoke machine enhancing the atmosphere.
Sporting a black shirt and shoes, Reeves wore his long dark hair slicked back and sported carefully groomed stubble, visibly enjoying his work as he smiled while filming.
Reeves reprises his role as John Wick in the fourth installment of the action thriller franchise, which began production shortly after the release of its third film, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, in May 2019.
In April of the previous year, director Chad Stahelski discussed the ambitious plans for the upcoming film, stating that the creative team aimed to surpass previous efforts.
The project’s development has been guided by a well-defined storyline, offering a clear direction for the filmmakers. Production for John Wick 4 is taking place in Berlin and Paris, with additional filming locations planned in New York City and Japan.
While there were initial plans for back-to-back filming, the idea was ultimately abandoned, leaving the possibility of a fifth movie uncertain.
Originally slated for release this year, the global pandemic prompted a delay, with the film now set to premiere on May 27, 2022.
