As she shakes off her squeaky clean Disney images with roles in Spring Breakers and Aftershock, Selena Gomez is morphing into quite the fashionista.
But it seems she hasn’t yet mastered the grasp (or stupidity) that no pain equals no gain.
As she stepped out today for a lunch date with a female companion, the Wizards of Waverly Place actress was seen holding a pair of grungy studded boots under her arm instead of on her feet.

The calf-high shoes, complete with heel, looked somewhat suffocating for theΒ 100Β°F heat in Tarzana.
As the girls were seen leaving California Pizza Kitchen against the sunny backdrop of Los Angeles, Selena was admiring her friend’s nails – implying they had perhaps visited a salon.
Having been so organised as to pack her flip-flops, it seems Selena may have had a pedicure, then switched her footwear to prevent smudging her newly-painted nails.

The 20-year-old was effortlessly pretty with her ungroomed brunette locks hanging down and getting tangled in the scarf around her neck.
She wore lightly-tinted aviator shades and carried a Louis Vuitton bag as well as juggling the boots and her iPhone.
Selena polished off the ensemble with teeny denim cutoffs – that were so short the inner pockets were seen peeping through the hemline – and a vest promoting Russian vodka.
The sleeveless tank, from Urban Outfitters, seems to be a favourite of Selena’s as she was spotted in the same item last month.

It’s no wonder the busy bee is recycling wardrobe items, as she probably barely has time for laundry.
She revealed on Twitter that she has been so wrapped up with new projects she hasn’t even been able to log online and speak to her beloved fans.
Gomez wrote: ‘Im (sic) sorry I havent been able to be on here more, Im working on films that I hope u guys love & new music that cant wait for you to hear.’
In a further good-riddance to her good girl exterior, the Texan native is to star in action-thriller The Getaway, alongside Ethan Hawke and Angelina Jolie’s famous father Jon Voight.
She is also rumoured to have been cast in rock ‘n’ roll indie flick Parental Guidance Suggested.
