Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red officially goes on sale with prices revealed as golf icon appears on Jimmy Fallon for launch

Tiger Woods explained the significance of his infamous Sunday Red outfits as his new clothing line officially launched in the early hours of Wednesday.

Fans have long been anticipating the golf legend’s new clothing line, Sun Day Red, hitting the shops since his split from Nike earlier this year following 27 years with the sportswear giant.

And his faithful followers needn’t wait any longer as the 48-year-old appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in New York late Tuesday night to promote the launch of the clothing line at midnight.

However, those fans desperate to get their hands on the new apparel had better have deep pockets.

The line, which officially went on sale at midnight ET on the brand’s website, features polo shirts ranging from $120 to $170.

Meanwhile, hoodies are available for as much as $200, shorts for $130,  full length pants for $165 and hats for $40 to $50.

On-course accessories are also available for purchase, including gloves and towels – with limited edition ball makers setting fans back $50.

‘It’s about athletes being first, and designing something for the athlete, so that we can perform at a higher level,’ Woods told the TV host when asked about his design process behind the line.

The name, Sun Day Red, is inspired by Woods’ infamous outfits he sports on the final day of tournaments.

The 15-time major winner has always worn red on Sundays, providing many memorable looks for his multiple victories and he revealed his mom, Kultida, is to thank.

‘The red story is actually a good one,’ he added. ‘It comes from my mom. My mom thought me being a Capricorn it my power color or some B.S. like that.

‘I ended up wearing red, and I won some junior golf tournaments, and then to spite her I wore blue and then I did not win those tournaments. Mom is always right.’

Woods joined forces with TaylorMade, first announcing an expanded partnership with the new golf attire and accessory line back in February.

Woods has modeled his Sun Day Red line over the past couple of months, debuting at his long-awaited return to the PGA Tour at the Genesis Invitational back in February.

The 15-time major winner first announced the clothing line back in February after his Nike split

The golf icon teed it up in his new brand at Riviera Country Club for his first competitive tournament of 2024.

He wore a black sweater with the brand’s logo, a tiger emblem, stitched underneath the collar in white with a matching cap.

The tiger logo is made up of 15 stripes – one for every major he’s won – while the brand’s name is inspired by Woods’ color of choice for every final round he plays.

He also wore his own merchandise at The Masters this year, including a red polo for Sunday’s final round.  However, ironically, Sun Day Red launched with no red polos in its range on the website.
