Anna’s Love For Valentin Could Botch Her Investigation Into Pikeman

General Hospital spoilers reveal Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) does a fairly good job of lying to herself when she just can’t handle the truth. It’s starting to look like this is one of those times.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) still tugs on Anna’s heartstrings for a variety of reasons — not least of which is how guilty she still feels about shooting his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). But Anna has admitted to herself that Valentin is complicit in Pikeman’s dealings.

However, her interest in unearthing evidence to prove it may have more to do with personal motivations than those of the Port Charles Police Commissioner. Will she come to regret ever taking up the mantle on this case if it means having to pull the trigger on throwing Valentin behind bars?

General Hospital Spoilers — Anna Devane Goes Deep

Making that call to Valentin and letting him know she wanted to take him up on his offer to take her to dinner was mild.

Anna knows she’s playing with fire by getting mixed up with Valentin in any fashion now — especially because she showed him her hand when she asked him about his ties to Pikeman and Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), noting how keenly she recalled their alliance during their WSB training days — a fact Valentin tried to dismiss.

Anna knows her best shot at getting the information she needs out of Valentin will be to grow closer to him — even if she suspects they’re both playing a game by toying with each others’ feelings.

GH Spoilers – Hint The Guilt Could Eat Away At Her

Charlotte has already lost so much. Taking her father away from her — after Anna shot and nearly killed her — will weigh heavily on Anna. She won’t want Charlotte to have to pay for more of her father’s mistakes.

At the same time, it’s none of Anna’s concern if Valentin commits crimes that force his child to go without him. He should’ve thought about that ahead of time, right?

Applying that logic is easier said than done, though, and Anna already feels horrible for the way her relationship with Valentin ended after he kept the truth about Charlotte’s obsession with Anna to himself.

Will that anger toward Valentin be enough to validate her feelings in going after him? Can Anna really separate her personal feelings from her professional task at hand? Luckily, she won’t have to do it alone.

General Hospital Spoilers — Jason Morgan Holds It Down?

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has formed an alliance with Anna that should work in both their favor. The only problem is Jason won’t know if Nana goes rogue on the spot and lets her feelings for Valentin get in the way of doing her job.

That’s not typical of the Anna he always knew, but she has changed in the last two years, since losing her job with the WSB, shooting a child, and practically losing herself. Will she sacrifice all she has regained with her new position at the PCPD just to keep Valentin safe?

If so, what will that mean for Jason — who needs to take Pikeman down in order to get Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) off his back? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.

Boris Johnson has attacked the growing scourge of ‘thought police’ in Sir Keir Starmer’s Britain, comparing it to ‘the Soviet Union at its worst’. Writing in today’s Daily Mail, the former prime minister says investigations by police into comments on social media come ‘straight out of 1980s Romania, and the horrible curtain-twitching culture by which people reported on their friends – even their family members’. It comes amid an increasing backlash over ‘non-crime hate incidents’, where already overstretched officers probe comments and actions not considered serious enough to constitute an offence.
