Giovanni Gets Wrapped Up In Sonny’s Drama – Replaces Dex As Mob Boss’s Henchman?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that the week of May 13 will not only bring wedding bells to Port Charles, but new and old familiar faces as the town gears up to celebrate the nuptials of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Actor Giovanni Mazza will join the cast as BLQ’s cousin, Giovanni Cerullo. Giovanni isn’t only a part of the Brooklyn Brigade’s family, but he’s also a musician who is set to play the violin during the wedding. Still, could he also get mixed up in Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) business and set roots in the little town?

General Hospital Spoilers Sneak Peek Photos – A Picture Is Worth 1000 Words

GH spoilers indicate that Giovanni is set to have a scene with Sonny during the week of May 13. As per scene photos, the mob boss will have his hand on the young man’s shoulder and is clearly talking to him about something important.

The Cerullos are tight with Sonny, as he and Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) grew up together, so Giovanni’s parents are probably very close to Corinthos, too.

Sonny could simply be giving the young man some encouragement about his violin solo, but what if there’s more to this? What if Giovanni wants to move to PC? Could he ask his “Uncle Sonny” for a job?

GH Spoilers – Young Men Are Wanted In Port Charles

During an interview shortly after the Jex breakup, actress Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jack) pointed out that Joss doesn’t have many love interest options in Port Charles, unless the show brought in some new characters.

With the recent confirmation from Nicholas Chavez (Spencer Cassadine) that he would not be returning to the soap anytime soon, this leaves both Josslyn and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) with little new romantic hopes on the horizon.

Of course, Joss could easily reunite with Dex, which seems to be where the storyline is going, but Giovanni entering the picture would be a good thing on so many levels.

Whether he partners up with Joss or Trina, Giovanni also diving into Sonny’s organization would make for an interesting twist.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) didn’t care much for Spencer, because he brought “danger” to Trina’s life, imagine how she’d feel if her daughter started dating a mob henchman?

Boris Johnson has attacked the growing scourge of ‘thought police’ in Sir Keir Starmer’s Britain, comparing it to ‘the Soviet Union at its worst’. Writing in today’s Daily Mail, the former prime minister says investigations by police into comments on social media come ‘straight out of 1980s Romania, and the horrible curtain-twitching culture by which people reported on their friends – even their family members’. It comes amid an increasing backlash over ‘non-crime hate incidents’, where already overstretched officers probe comments and actions not considered serious enough to constitute an offence.
