Adebayo Akinfenwa took to his Instagram page to celebrate his youngest son who he only referred to as “J” as the lad turned 8.
The Faversham Town striker posed with his son J in a Nigerian native dress and they both hit the knuckle with a smirk on their face.
The first image showed their knuckle fist while the second image showed both of them with their hands folded.
He captioned the images shared with: “Happy 8th bday to my lil big man J!!!!!! I don’t know where the time has gone but proud of the lil man your growing into, despite being a United fan love always Dad!!!! #BMO”
Adebayo Akinfenwa who was recently awarded Sir Tom Finney Award in Sunday’s EFL Awards 2023 expressed gratitude.
Akinfenwa is a player and also a cult hero of the EFL who spent more than two decades in the game and scored over 200 goals.

He has made several appearances for 14 different Clubs and he later left the EFL at the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.
He delightedly said after he received the award: “It’s humbling, my brother got me here on false pretenses – I thought I was giving out an award!”
“I am not normally stuck for words. Gareth Ainsworth knows how much he means to me; he is more than just a manager. The stars couldn’t have aligned any better for him to come and give me my award.”
“To be able to achieve a dream that you have as a five-year-old and to play the game for 22 years, it’s decent. I am very unapologetically myself and I’ve done it my way.”
“I signed for a Club in Wycombe that were always punching above their weight and getting promoted to the Championship at the age of 38 was the pinnacle.”

Akinfenwa’s longest run was playing up front for Wycombe Wanderers where he helped them gain promotion from Sky Bet League Two up to the Sky Bet Championship and became the Club’s record EFL goalscorer.
The Nigerian striker was honored by former Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth on the night.
He was once famously the strongest player on EA Sports ‘Fifa’ and he released an Amazon Prime documentary in October 2022 about his incredible career titled ‘Beast Mode On’.

Akinfenwa is a good friend of Clarke Carlisle, his former teammate at Northampton Town.

He is an ardent supporter of Liverpool in the Premier League and his favorite player as a child was John Barnes.

He is always in his Liverpool jersey whenever the Reds are playing a match and showed his support from his home – he once trolled his son who was a Manchester United fan when Liverpool trashed them 2-0 in 2021.
