Disney has unveiled an exhilarating first look at TRON: Ares, the much-anticipated new chapter in the groundbreaking TRON franchise. Production for the film began in January in Vancouver, and it is set for release in 2025.
TRON: Ares continues the legacy of Disney’s 1982 seminal sci-fi masterpiece TRON and its 2010 sequel TRON: Legacy. Directed by Joachim Rønning, who expressed his excitement about joining the TRON universe, this film promises to push the boundaries of design, technology, and storytelling. Rønning stated, “I’m thrilled to be part of the TRON franchise and to bring this new film to fans around the world. TRON: Ares builds on the legacy of cutting-edge innovation that the series is known for. Now, more than ever, it feels like the perfect time to return to the Grid.”
