Serena Williams has listed her lavish Beverly Hills mansion for $7.5million (£5.3million) after first buying the property for $6million (£4.3million) in 2017.

The tennis legend’s, 39, 6,000-square-foot home, which is in a gated community, has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and dramatic views of the Los Angeles skyline.

Serena’s mansion, which sits on a quarter-acre of land, also boats several luxury details such as a climate-controlled wine cellar, luxury marble designed bar, gym and outdoor swimming pool.

It’s unclear how often Serena used the home as her primary residence is said to be in a $8million (£5.7million) home in Jupiter, Florida, where she lives with husband Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and daughter Alexis Olympia, three. Serena is able to tennis train all year-round in Florida due to the sunny weather.

The exterior of Serena’s Beverly Hills mansion reflects the Spanish style of many homes in southern California and the garden boasts lavish details such as a swimming pool, al fresco dining area with outdoor seating and beautifully manicured lawns.

For the interior of her home, which also boasts a smart home system, the sporting star has gone for a contemporary style with open plan rooms, stylish white walls and brushed oak flooring.

Serena has opted for a state-of-the-art kitchen with marble counter tops, an island unit and gold finishing touches. The room also has crittall style doors which open out to her sprawling garden.

According to Architectural Digest, the star and her sister Venus Williams shared a Palm Beach Gardens home going back to 1998, and the doubles partners collaborated on designing the interior of her new home.

The sisters sold off the home in 2019, and late last year Serena sold another nearby home.

In September 2020, Serena purchased a property from St. Louis Cardinals player Yadier Molina in Jupiter, Florida, for $8 million, only to demolish it.

Serena most recently returned to the court for the Australian Open in February, where she was defeated in the semifinal by rising star Naomi Osaka.
