Lindsay Lohan looked incredible as she showed off her youthful transformation this week.
The actress, 38, was praised by fans for her natural beauty as she attended the New York City premiere of her new Netflix movie Our Little Secret.
Having rose to fame in the 1998 film The Parent Trap and going on to star in Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, she later took a break from Hollywood following her wild child antics.
Since returning to screens in 2022 with the festive romantic comedy Falling For Christmas, it’s not just her acting comeback that has got fans talking.
Lindsay’s appearance has also sparked a slew of comments, with her incredible transformation not going unnoticed.
The star’s Paris Fashion Week appearance was dubbed ‘an iconic comeback’ by style commentators earlier this month when she cut a glamorous figure in a black sequin dress at Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2025 womenswear show.
Some suggested that Lindsay’s new found sobriety was the reason behind the refreshed and rejuvenated look.
The actress, who gave birth to her first child, a son named Luai, in July last year is sober after stints in and out of rehab and multiple run ins with the law.
Board-certified surgeon Dr. Jonathan Sykes noted that the actress appears to have returned to her original, natural beauty in the last year.
‘I would say that I think that she looks fabulous and everything that was really beautiful and pretty about her when she was young has sort of come back, and it’s a mature and beautiful version of that,’ he said.
Speculating on what she may have had done, Dr. Sykes said that her skin was ‘glowing’ and suggested that she may have treated ‘pigmentary and some textural issues’ in her skin to achieve her new look.
‘Her skin has no dyschromias, which are pigmented areas on the skin, round spots and so forth,’ he said.
He suspected that she may have done some IPL treatments and non-surgical skin tightening.
Dr. Sykes also said that she may have had some Botox, but stressed that it had been done in a subtle way and not ‘overdone.’
Cosmetic surgeon Matthew Schulman also told Forbes magazine that her altered appearance was clearly the result of some cosmetic procedures.
‘I don’t think it’s any secret that Lindsay’s had some stuff done. Clearly, she’s had some lip augmentation.
‘Her skin looks much smoother and lighter, so maybe some Botox and fillers in her cheeks, which is why her cheeks look fuller,’ says Shulman.
In an interview with Allure the former child star said she thinks that it is funny that people think she is ageing in reverse.
She batted off suggestions that she had work done, saying ‘I just take care of my skin.’
Speaking to Cosmopolitan in 2022, Lindsay shared her skincare secrets, and explained: ‘I’m big on nonintrusive facial experiences, anything I can do. I love lasers.
‘I just started Morpheus8, which I’m obsessed with. You have to ask them to give you the numbing cream ahead of time and put it on yourself at home an hour before you go.’
Used to stimulate collagen production, the Morpheus8 technique is a combination of micro needling and radio frequency, which sees 24 4mm needles inserted into the skin to ‘create a controlled trauma’.
lt has been dubbed the world’s most painful non-invasive cosmetic procedure and can set you back around £500, but should result in skin tightening, improving the appearance of lax jowls and wrinkles while also improvement skin texture.
Starting Morpheus8 before the appearance of fine line can also work as preventative measure, to build and bank new collagen and elastin.
Lindsay has also credited running on the treadmill for helping to keep her skin clear.
