The View host Sunny Hostin grits her teeth as she’s forced to read THREE legal notes about Matt Gaetz shake-up

The View hosts did not look pleased as they were forced to read three legal notes after discussing accusations against George Santos, Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth.

Sunny Hostin read two of the notes on Friday as the panel discussed former Rep Gaetz bowing down of the Attorney General nomination as he deals with 𝑠e𝑥ual assault claims.

‘Matt Gaetz long denied all allegations and has not been charged with any crime,’ Hostin said as she grimaced.

She then read another legal note regarding Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of defense Hegseth, who has been accused of paying a woman to silence her 𝑠e𝑥 assault claims.

‘Another legal note,’ Hostin said. ‘Pete Hegseth’s lawyer said he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit.’

Earlier in the show, Joy Behar also read a legal note as the panel discussed disgraced former congressman Santo’s visit to the Hill to lobby for Gaetz.

‘We have to clarify that Santos eventually reached a plea deal after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft,’ Behar said.

Earlier this year Santos, who spun lies about his life into an 11-month stint in Congress, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in a case that led to his expulsion from office.

On Thursday the panel also discussed Trump’s new AG pick, former Florida AG Pam Bondi, who they deemed ‘dangerous.’

‘Pam Bondi, I believe she’s a dangerous pick because she supported Trump’s false election claims,’ Hostin said.

‘She was involved in the efforts to overturn the results and so that is now the person that’s going to be chief law enforcement.

But Ana Navarro stepped in, claiming that she knows Bondi and the lawyer i’s not a cook.’

‘I don’t want to ruin her reputation with MAGA people but Pam Bondi and I hung out a lot when she was attorney general of Florida and she would come to Miami,’ Navarro said.

‘We drank a lot together. I liked her a lot. She’s not a kook. What’s a little election denialism between friends when …. Listen, everything in life is relative.

‘There is no accusation of 𝑠e𝑥ual harassment or assault against her.’

Trump moved quickly to find a new candidate for attorney general on Thursday, announcing the former Florida AG Pam Bondi as his pick to head the nation’s legal system.

Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration earlier in the day when it became clear that a lingering scandal meant he did not have the votes to be confirmed in the Senate.

‘Pam was a prosecutor for nearly 20 years, where she was very tough on violent criminals, and made the streets safe for Florida Families,’ Trump posted on Truth Social as he made the announcement.

‘Then, as Florida’s first female attorney general, she worked to stop the trafficking of deadly drugs, and reduce the tragedy of fentanyl overdose deaths, which have destroyed many families across our country.’

Trump has made clear that he wants a disruptor in the role, someone who will overhaul the Department of Justice and help push through his agenda from day one.
