One Piece 1098: What To Expect From The Chapter

Ginny has to be saved by the Revolutionary Army in One Piece 1098.

One Piece continues its excellent run in the manga with the flashback of the incredible Bartholomew Kuma. Fans have thoroughly enjoyed the flashback over the course of the last few chapters and it has even tackled some legendary events to have taken place in the One Piece world, such as the God Valley Incident.

One Piece chapter 1098 is just around the corner now and fans are incredibly excited about it, given that the events of the previous chapter concluded with the kidnapping of Ginny and, from here onwards, she will be deeply involved in the story.

Ginny’s Kidnapping

One Piece chapter 1098 is surely going to focus on the character that is Ginny. In the previous chapter, fans saw that Kuma and Ginny were both getting older and, at the same time, working towards their goals. Kuma became a pastor and was helping people all around him. Meanwhile, Ginny was responsible for protecting Kuma and, together, these two work towards a better life, taking things one step at a time. When things in the Sorbet Kingdom went bad, it was none other than Kuma and Ginny who started revolting against the king.

Unfortunately, they were imprisoned and would have been in captivity ever since had it not been for the Revolutionary Army. Thanks to the effort of Dragon and Ivankov, the king was disposed of and Kuma and Ginny were saved. From there onwards, both, and Ginny ended up joining the Revolutionary Army and rose to very important positions. Kuma became one of the founding members of the Revolutionary Army, becoming its third pillar, alongside Dragon and Ivankov.

Meanwhile, Ginny became the commander of the East Army of the Revolutionary Army, which likely means that she was responsible for the East Blue. Knowing that Dragon was leading a calculated revolution, commanders were placed in every corner of the world, which would then allow him to broaden his scope and tackle various issues effectively. Unfortunately, towards the end of One Piece chapter 1097, it was clear to see that Ginny was ambushed by some enemy who held a grudge against her and was then kidnapped.

Kuma Leads A Rescue Operation

One Piece chapter 1098 is going to tackle the events from here onwards and will most likely see Ginny being rescued. It goes without saying that the Revolutionary Army will not hesitate in trying to get her back. A rescue party will immediately be set up and sent to wherever she is right now in an attempt to get her back. Quite a lot of fans might be wondering if this is where Ginny ends up dying. After all, she’s a character that fans have not seen in the current timeline of One Piece, and even her role as the East Army Commander has been taken over by Belo Betty. Clearly, this is an indication that Ginny ends up dying or, at the very least, captured at some point in the story.

However, fans should not expect this to be the point where she ends up dying or permanently captured. In One Piece chapter 1098, fans should expect Kuma to lead her rescue and get to the enemies to get her back. This mission is likely going to end in the victory of the Revolutionary Army and the safe return of Ginny. This event might be used by Oda to further progress the relationship between Kuma and Ginny. Previously, Kuma avoided the proposal that Ginny gave to her about getting married. However, now, after being saved by Kuma, their feelings might develop even further and fans might see newer developments on that end.

The Birth Of Bonney

One Piece chapter 1098 should also give fans some timeskips, at the very least. Fans have seen quite a lot of timeskips in the flashback and that is to be expected. There are going to be more timeskips, given that this is the entire story of Kuma that is being covered in the flashback. Whether there will be a timeskip in One Piece chapter 1098 or not depends heavily on if Oda will showcase the rescue of Ginny being led in the next chapter or not. If she is rescued around midway through the chapter, then fans should expect a new timeskip.

On the other hand, if Oda spends the entire chapter on the rescue, then there will likely not be a timeskip.

It is safer to assume that Oda will not spend an entire chapter on rescuing Ginny and, in that case, a timeskip is very likely. Immediately after the rescue, fans could see the relationship between Kuma and Ginny being progressed to the next level. At some point, these two will have a child together and that child will be Bonney. For now, there is nothing that suggests that Bonney is not going to be a biological child. Of course, there are theories that suggest that Bonney might not be a biological human. She could very well end up being a clone of the actual child of Kuma and Ginny or, perhaps, some other personality altogether. Regardless of that, fans will likely see Kuma and Ginny progress their relationship to the next level in One Piece chapter 1098.

The Evolution Of The Revolutionary Army

Fans saw the creation of the Revolutionary Army in the previous chapter of One Piece. As such, in the upcoming chapter, One Piece chapter 1098, fans should fully expect the Revolutionary Army to go from strength to strength. This army is far from reaching its full potential. Readers should also very well expect Kuma to help further the goals of the army and expand its influence. Furthermore, fans know that Dragon himself is leading a strategic revolution.

As such, he sends different Commanders in his army to different places in the world. Ivankov, for instance, found himself in Impel Down on purpose, because Dragon asked him to do so. Similarly, fans could see different commanders of the Revolutionary Army go on different missions all over the world and this significant development could be seen in the next chapter of the story. The biggest and most important detail when it comes to Kuma here is that fans could end up seeing him going on his own mission. Fans know that Kuma ends up becoming a pirate and, with that, a Shichibukai as well. He also ends up signing up for the Pacifista project of the World Government. Why that happens is a big mystery to the fans right now, however, One Piece chapter 1098 could lay the basis for that, helping fans understand why exactly Kuma did what he did and what his goals were.

There are lots of things that One Piece chapter 1098 will tackle and fans simply need to wait in patience to see what Oda has in store for them.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1098, is set to be November 12, 2023.
