Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s relationship has been through several phases. But reports were already hinting at the duo’s cracked marital life which was on its brink. Back in 2016, the former couple made headlines when Jolie filed for divorce from the latter citing irreconcilable differences. From their controversial dating era to their messy divorce, their bond fell in quite an unexpected way. Back in 2016, Brad Pitt and Selena Gomez made headlines when she shared a flirty pic on her Instagram with the former. The Who Says singer was seen gazing into Pitt’s eyes at the Golden Globes with a caption, “Just discussing #TheBigShort.” For the unversed, she made a brief appearance in his film, The Big Short.

The Only Murders in the Building star was not shy to express her interest in the Bullet Train actor as she once shared, 

“I’m not going to lie. It’s nice to look at all of the hot guys I admire. I’m trying to find Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt right now!” 

However, this didn’t fit well with the former’s then-wife, Angelina Jolie as sources told the National Enquirer (via The Sun). The Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress reportedly was unpleased with their interaction and even made a hefty demand.

While Gomez’s Instagram post received loads of positive responses, it rubbed Jolie the wrong way. Insiders told the outlet that Pitt’s ex-wife heard all about the Globes flirting moment. 

“Angie blew a gasket when she saw Selena’s Instagram, and heard through friends about how Brad and Selena flirted so shamelessly.”

The source mentioned that the Ring singer was “bragging to everyone that Brad is gung ho to make another movie with her.” Jokingly, she even called the Fight Club actor her “‘future husband,’ and Angie is obviously none too pleased.”

The insider added that the actress has demanded Pitt not to work with the Fetish singer again. 

“Angie warned Brad to cut all ties with Selena, and she’s forbidding him from working with her again.”

While the reason for their divorce was cited as irreconcilable differences initially, over the years, abuse allegations and legal lawsuits have dived more into their messy breakup. The former lovers had a verbal argument in a private jet which turned physical when Maddox, one of their adopted children stood up for his mother. However, Pitt reportedly lost his temper leading to quite chaos though he has since been cleared of those allegations. They are also engaged in the Chateau Miraval legal dispute which further complexifies their bitter relationship.
