Manchester United played a behind-closed-door friendly against Hull City with the international break beginning and many Red Devils remaining at the club.
With the international break being the final pause of the calendar year due to international football, this will be a chance for Erik ten Hag to observe some of the players before the season resumes.
As mentioned, the Red Devils played a behind-closed-door match against EFL Championship side Hull City yesterday according to Mike McGrath of the Daily Telegraph.
Here is all we currently know from United’s game.

According to McGrath, the number of United players missing for international duty gave Ten Hag a chance to see how Antony and Donny Van de Beek fared with their limited minutes or struggles in the side.
In Antony’s case, the winger has simply not been good enough for the Red Devils this season with a recent poor performance against Fulham bringing on the ire of ex-United defender Rio Fernand.
As for Van de Beek, the Dutchman has not played a competitive minute this season and was left out of the recent travelling squad for the recent 4-3 defeat to FC Copenhagen.
However, the former Ajax midfielder did feature for United but it is unclear whether this means Van De Beek will feature competitively for Ten Hag’s side. He has played only 21 minutes this season and is being tipped to leave the club in January.
United players back at Carrington
Due to the club’s poor performances this season, a host of United players have not been selected and could have featured in the game.
Alejandro Garnacho, Mason Mount, and Sergio Reguilon are just one of a number of players who will remain in Manchester for the international break.
Players building up fitness with the team is certainly not a bad thing. Casemiro suffered an injury whilst on Brazil duty, so the best thing for these players is to remain at the club.
Behind-closed-door games are nothing new for Ten Hag’s United with previous games against Barnsley and Burnley occurring this season.
Scoreline in friendly
With the match held behind closed doors, Manchester United and Hull have not publicised the result or scorers.
The United Stand claim the match finished 1-1, however, this cannot be verified.
