BTS’s J-Hope has gained recognition for his distinguished service in the military, notably in his role as platoon leader. The military communication platform ‘The Camp’ recently released photos showcasing J-Hope actively instructing Army recruits in basic shooting techniques at the 36th Infantry Division Basic Training Center.
J-Hope is seen adorned with a sergeant’s insignia and a platoon leader’s green epaulet on his uniform. Although his promotion to sergeant was initially scheduled for January of the following year, J-Hope’s exceptional performance in areas such as marksmanship and first aid earned him the ‘Special Force’ title. This prestigious distinction, awarded to soldiers who surpass specific proficiency levels, facilitated his promotion two months ahead of schedule.
Moreover, the role of platoon leader is assigned to soldiers who receive outstanding evaluations from their colleagues. J-Hope’s early elevation to sergeant and his possession of the platoon leader’s epaulet testify to his exemplary conduct and proficiency in military skills.
J-Hope commenced his active-duty service on April 18, becoming the second BTS member to enlist after Jin. His commendable military journey continues to be a subject of admiration among the seven-member group’s fans.
