Margot Robbie is a girl living in a stylish world — and her Barbie press tour looks have proven just that.

Three months after donning a custom pink Chanel gown at the 2023 Golden Globes in January, the Australian actress continued the trend at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Robbie drew inspiration from Barbie’s pink checkered dress, as featured in the film’s trailer, and sported a gingham two-piece set at the event. She paired the frock with bright pink heels.

Robbie wore Barbie’s signature color head-to-toe once again for the cast’s first promotional TV appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in June, wearing a hot pink mini dress and a pair of matching pumps.

Her costar Issa Rae — who plays President Barbie in the Greta Gerwig-directed film — donned her own monochrome ensemble on the daytime talk show, pairing bright pink dress pants with a matching blouse and blazer.

Metallic Barbie

Ahead of the film’s premiere, Robbie’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal, shared several BTS snaps of the actress’ Barbie press tour looks. One of the outfits included a metallic pink dress by Versace paired with white heels, pink socks and a white mini purse.

Sweater Weather

Robbie donned another metallic pink piece by Versace for the film’s Australia press events, pairing the brand’s pink mini skirt with a light pink sweater.

Robbie kicked off the Barbie press tour at CinemaCon in April. While posing alongside costar Ryan Gosling — who portrays Barbie’s longtime love, Ken — Robbie rocked a pink and white gingham two-piece set. She completed the look with a pair of bright pink heels, an anklet and heart-shaped earrings.

Gosling, for his part, wore a T-shirt featuring Gerwig’s name underneath a hot pink bomber jacket. He kept the rest of his look casual with a pair of black jeans and tan shoes.

Perfectly Matched

Robbie and Rae each sported hot pink looks during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show with costars America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon. While Robbie opted for a short-sleeved mini dress and pumps, Rae channeled her character, President Barbie, with pink dress pants, a blouse and a blazer.

Robbie matched the color of her character’s convertible at a photocall event in Los Angeles in June. She paired her pink polka dot mini dress from Valentino with white heels and added a pop of color with a yellow purse. The look was inspired by the 2015 Pink and Fabulous Barbie.

Robbie sported a vintage-inspired Barbie look while traveling for the film’s worldwide press tour in June. She was photographed arriving at Australia’s Sydney Airport in a pink Chanel blazer. Her luggage complemented the rest of her outfit, which consisted of a white crop top, light-wash jeans, nude and black heels and a pair of sunglasses.

Iconic Inspiration

During a June 2023 appearance in Sydney, Robbie paid tribute to the first-ever Barbie swimsuit — a black-and-white one-piece — with a matching mini dress Just like the doll, the actress completed her look with a high ponytail and white, cat-eye sunglasses.

Day-to-Night Barbie

Robbie embodied the Day-to-Night Barbie, which was released in 1985 and again in 2017, while doing press in Seoul, South Korea on July 2. She arrived on a pink carpet, wearing a custom bubblegum pink pencil skirt teamed with a matching blazer from Versace — mirroring the outfit the beloved doll came dressed in to celebrate the women’s workplace revolution. Robbie accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat and a fuchsia Versace purse. (The original Day-to-Night toy carried a large pink briefcase.) The Bombshell star completed the ensemble with white and pink Manolo Blahnik pumps.

Day-to-Night Barbie Part 2

At the same event in Seoul, Robbie shocked fans when she reemerged in a different Versace ensemble. In honor of the Day-to-Night Barbie’s evening look, the Focus actress slipped into a hot pink tulle dress with a sparkly bodice.

Life in Plastic, It’s Fantastic

Robbie continued promoting the film in South Korea, wearing a three-piece set from Moschino on July 3. The ensemble — inspired by 1964’s Sparkling Pink Barbie — included a studded jacket, a crop top and a miniskirt. The Amsterdam star teamed the getup with a heart-shaped handbag and a bow-adorned fascinator.

Robbie transported Us back to the ‘90s while doing press in Mexico City on July 6. The actress emulated Earring Magic Barbie as she rocked a hot pink corset dress by Balmain that featured sheer sleeves and a metallic belt. She complemented the look with rosy pumps and a crinkle hairstyle.

Totally Hair Barbie

Robbie was inspired by the Totally Hair Barbie for this look in Mexico City on July 7. She wore a vintage Emilio Pucci mini dress with a Chanel handbag and earrings. Of course, the star topped off the Totally Hair Barbie look with loads of extensions. She even crimped her long locks to match the 1992 doll’s style.

Solo in the Spotlight

Robbie transformed into Solo in the Spotlight Barbie at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on July 9. Like the special edition doll, which was first offered in 1960, Robbie donned a sparkly black strapless dress, which was made custom for her by Schiaparelli Haute Couture’s artistic director Daniel Roseberry. The sequin-cover piece was completed with a tulle skirt that was adorned with a single red rose. Robbie completed the look with a layered choker and open-toe sandal heels. For glam, the actress rocked a curled updo and a bold red lip.

Enchanted Evening

Robbie was a breathtaking sight at the film’s London premiere on July 12. She paid homage to the Enchanted Evening Barbie, which was first unveiled in 1960. Robbie’s look featured a baby pink corset dress made custom for her by Vivienne Westwood. The gown featured a textured collar, a wrap skirt and a cascading train — a replica of the garment seen on the doll. In 1996, Hallmark released an ornament that featured a Barbie in the Enchanted Evening ensemble.
