Conor McGregor says Dillon Danis WILL be in the UFC as he urges Dana White to sign his pal

CONOR MCGREGOR fully expects to see Dillon Danis in the UFC – despite his pal’s recent loss to Logan Paul.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu whizz Danis began campaigning to be signed by MMA’s top promotion before his grudge match with the YouTuber turned-boxer.

Danis, 30, has been relentless with his calls to join the promotion since being disqualified in the October Misfits melee.

And his good friend and training partner McGregor reckons it’s only a matter of time before he graces the octagon.

When asked if he foresees Danis ever fighting in the promotion McGregor wrote on X: “I’d love to see it!

“I hope he dials in and stays the course! I know he will!”

Former Bellator welterweight Danis reckons his newfound star power – which he accrued thanks to a relentless social media campaign against Paul’s fiancee Nina Agdal – would translate to big numbers for the UFC.

He recently told Sun columnist Piers Morgan: “I want to go to the UFC.

“I think the UFC now will see my potential in selling fights and everything like that.

“Sign me. Let’s do it. Give me the biggest fight, give me anybody you want.

“Just don’t send anybody you want back. I’ll beat them all.

“And I want to prove what I’m saying is true, because it pissed me off that people don’t believe in me.

“So I want to go out there and I’ll fight any one of them.”

UFC chief executive Dana White was recently quizzed about rumours of the promotion being interested in Danis but insisted the thought hadn’t even crossed his mind.

The 54-year-old said last month: “I don’t know, I haven’t even actually thought about that.”

Danis hasn’t competed in mixed martial arts in over four years due to a combination of injury and the pandemic.

His pal, McGregor, meanwhile hasn’t fought since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirer in July 2020.

The Notorious is set to make his eagerly-anticipated return to the octagon next year against Michael Chandler.
