Three Chelsea players are now named in U21 Premier League Team of the Season so far

Chelsea have three representatives in the Premier League Team of the Season so far for Under-21 players.

WhoScored have recorded the Blues trio of Malo Gusto, Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer in the interesting XI.

You only need to look around to see how many youngsters are playing in Chelsea’s first-team squad this season, so perhaps it’s no surprise that there’s a few representatives in the line-up.

It does prove that there’s been some bright sparks at Stamford Bridge this campaign despite sitting mid-table.

Statisticians WhoScored have named its Premier League’s Under-21s Team of the Season, with the one rule that players were aged 21 & under as of 1 August this year.

First of all, Chelsea defender Gusto is included in the right-back spot with an overall rating of 6.54. The 20-year-old’s looked pretty solid so far during his first few months in England. His main issue now will be a lack of game time following the return of club captain Reece James.

Next, 20-year-old star Colwill makes the team in the left-back position. He’s got an impressive 6.83 rating so far this campaign due to his commanding performances at the back.

Finally, Palmer, who became a senior England international last night, slots into WhoScored’s XI as the attacking midfielder with a 6.98 match rating. We think you could make a strong case for the 21-year-old being one of the division’s best young players so far.

Cole Palmer best of the bunch

We’re certainly look at Palmer as the brightest of the young prospects right now.

Speaking via Channel 4 last night, Jermain Defoe described Palmer as a “clever footballer”. We think he’s spot on with that assessment.

The left-footed attacking midfielder is in for a big season if he can keep grounded and fit.

There’s no doubt that he’s already a key cog for Mauricio Pochettino’s side whenever they go forward.

The Church of England’s most prolific abuser John Smyth beat scores of boys till they bled. GUY ADAMS asks… why did no one in authority tell the police about the abuse by top barrister who exchanged Christmas cards with Justin Welby for years?

You didn’t spend long in evangelical circles of the Church of England during the late 1970s without bumping into an outwardly charming young man named John Smyth. A famous barrister, who’d acted for morality campaigner Mary Whitehouse in blasphemy and pornography cases against Gay News, Channel 4 and the National Theatre, Smyth also chaired the Iwerne Trust, a charity which ran Christian summer camps in Dorset each year. His annual retreats, at which largely well-bred young men swam, played sports, and attended Bible study classes, were designed to attract ‘future leaders’ who might go on to greater things.

Trump supporters give AOC an education on why she is so similar to the president-elect

Donald Trump supporters surprisingly revealed how popular Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is actually very similar to the new president-elect. Ocasio-Cortez, 35, reached out to her supporters on Instagram Sunday, asking if any of her followers had voted for both her and 78-year-old Trump and why. ‘This is not a place of judgment. I’m not gonna like put your stuff on blast or anything like that or dunk on it… I actually want to learn from you,’ she said.

Progressive billionaire Mark Cuban deletes his tweets supporting Kamala Harris

Billionaire Kamala Harris supporter Mark Cuban has quietly wiped some of his social media comments endorsing the Vice President. The Shark Tank entrepreneur was one of the first from Camp Kamala to publicly concede defeat on election night, sending a message of congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump by about 1.30am. In the message, he also congratulated X owner Elon Musk, who emerged as one of Trump’s most outspoken – and generous – supporters during his campaign.

Strongman filmed lifting a Ford Transit van and pulled tractor with his bare hands while claiming car crash had left him unable to carry shopping bags in ‘blatantly dishonest’ insurance claim

When champion strongman Scott Maw was hurt in a car crash, he told his GP he struggled carrying shopping bags. As he claimed for a whiplash-style shoulder injury, he failed, however, to mention he was still a dab hand at lifting logs, concrete balls and even a Transit van. The decision to seek compensation for his accident injuries, in what solicitors said was a ‘blatantly dishonest’ insurance claim against the other driver, has left him £25,000 out-of-pocket.

Who are Donald Trump’s cabinet picks? Meet the confidantes and advisers heading to the White House

Donald Trump’s second term as president will largely be shaped by the loyal allies who have stood by him during his four years outside of the White House. As the clock ticks down to his inauguration on January 20, all eyes will be on Mar-a-Lago as Republicans jostle for a cabinet spot or a senior role in the West Wing. And those are filling fast. In the past two-plus days, nine potential appointees have emerged for top Cabinet or West Wing roles and a handful of contenders for other vital positions have emerged.
