LeBron James is the Los Angeles Lakers’ leader in points and assists per game.
On a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, Kevin Garnett gave his thoughts on LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The former Boston Celtics forward competed against James in numerous postseason match-ups.
Garnett is not impressed with Davis’ recent performances, especially when compared to the 38-year-old James.
“Anthony Davis probably thinks he’s doing the best he can. He probably thinks, ‘Hey, I’m giving 100% to this,'” Garnett said. “Anthony Davis probably thinks, ‘Man, I just had 35 and 15 with two blocks. That was a crazy night.’… We’re talking about the comparisons of an older man and being able to give this thing over to another superstar.”

This season, Davis is averaging 22.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Meanwhile, James is averaging 25.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game.
Garnett believes James is the de facto leader of the Los Angeles Lakers. The 15-time NBA All-Star also thinks his former rival has better mobility than Davis.
“It’s still LeBron’s team,” Garnett said. “He looks bouncier than AD. He looks younger.”
