Taylor Swift fans are always on the look out for their idol, especially when it comes to her relationships, and her three-month romance with Travis Kelce is no different.
So it was only a matter of time before Swifties dug into Travis Kelce’s old tweets.
The pop icon and NFL star are the talk of the land in America, ever since they started dating in September, with Swift cheering on her beau at Chiefs games, Kelce joining the singer in Argentina where she gave a shoutout to ‘the guy on the Chiefs,’ during her live performance of ‘Karma’, and their very public kiss, post-concert.
What’s more, is that, as of late, Kelce revealed in a Wall Street Journal interview that not only his girlfriend is a ‘genius’, but that he is also ‘learning’ from her everyday.
Winning over her fans since September, Swifties have decided to conduct a digital background test on the two-time Super Bowl champion, delving into his old tweets, which are over a decade old. But like most celebrities who take a trip down memory lane when their posts come back to light, there are some amusing comments from their younger self.
DailyMail.com takes a look at Kelce’s online diary when he was feelin’ 22 (or 21).

Once stressing the importance of naps in preserving his healthy body, Kelce was ecstatic to take one back on February 1, 2010, while serving a one-year suspension from college.
Indeed, Kelce did not play for an entire season of college football, 13 years ago, due to a violation of team rules, which was later revealed to be failing to pass a drug test by testing positive for marijuana.
So, with all the time in the world on his hands, the eight-time Pro Bowler tweeted on the first day of the second month that year: ‘NAP TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
Hopefully, it was a nap to remember, for Kelce’s sake.
With all the time in the world on his hands due to a ban in 2010, Kelce tweeted: ‘NAP TIME!!!!!!!’
Who would have thought Kelce, who is from Westlake, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb, had an affinity for nature and animals, despite misspelling squirrels.
Back on April 14, 2011, the Chiefs tight end tweeted: I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy’
Clearly, not knowing how to properly spell piece is certainly #crazy.
The Chiefs tight end once shared his experience of giving a ‘squirle’ a ‘peice’ of break in 2011
In the U.S., Cinco de Mayo has become a way to honor Mexican culture and heritage, despite the holiday not being as widely popular, south of America’s border.
But, that isn’t of much important to Americans, Kelce in particular, as on the fifth of May in 2011, he demanded a ‘tall glass of #DosAquis and a BBQ becon burger’ on X.
To add insult to injury, the then-21-year-old wished all of his fans from Mexico and of Mexican descent, a ‘Happy Cinco De Meyo!!!!’
Oh, dear….
DON’T LOOK: Kelce hilariously misspelled Dos Equis – a beer brand – bacon, and Cinco de Mayo
Being a university student is not easy.
Young adults, ranging from 18 years old to 22, have to attend class, participate in extra-curricular activities, and keep up with their social circles, while trying to figure out their next steps in adulthood, both from a personal and professional standpoint.
Kelce certainly gave fans a glimpse into his life as a player of the Cincinnati Bearcats, tweeting: ‘Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I’m off to check out my new apt!!’
Kelce misspelled the restaurant chain’s name but Chipotle has honored his mistake by renaming its Kansas City location.
The two-time Super Bowl champ’ didn’t spell Chipotle right while he was a university student
Having previously disclosed that he consumes a 4,000 calorie-per-day diet, Kelce loves to order from eateries with several locations across the U.S., as pointed out by his Chipolte tweet.
So, on June 27, 2011, he and his father went to enjoy a meal at Olive Garden – a casual dining restaurant chain specializing in Italian-American cuisine.
‘Up at Olive Garden with papa! Had to grab the Fettucini with the Chicken Alredo!! #shmackin’
Hopefully, by now, Kelce realized that the dish is spelled ‘fettucine’.
‘It’s a love story, baby just say ”when”,’ tweeted Oliver Garden in response to Kelce’s 12-year endorsement of its food.
Olive Garden resurfaced a tweet of Kelce’s endorsement of its food earlier this month on X
No one likes to lose their phone.
But, back in 2010, it wasn’t as easy to find electronic devices as it is today, although, what is Kelce tweeting from, if he misplaced his mobile, as he claims to have done.
‘TOO MAD RIGHT NOW!!!’ he shared.
‘cant find my phone! either somebody got me for it, or I just missed placed it, but either way, Im phoneless right now!’
Thank god for autocorrect, nowadays, right Trav’?
OH, DEAR: Kelce tweeting his frustration with losing his phone after having ‘missed placed’ it
Without a doubt the most popular pair of NFL brothers since Eli and Payton Manning, Jason and Travis Kelce have always showed love for each other, despite having faced off in the Super Bowl earlier this year.
They even attended the University of Cincinnati together, with the youngest of the two siblings having once tweeted during his second-year: ‘haha man my brother has gotta be one of the funniest guys on the planet, hes grade ”A” comedy at all times of the day.’
If that’s not brotherly love, then nothing is.
BROTHERLY LOVE: Although he’s not from Philadelphia, Kelce’s always shown love to Jason
If Kelce read this tweet from 13 years ago, this fall, then hopefully, a grin emerged on his face, as even he couldn’t possibly imagine knowing that he would go onto lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy twice in his career, and also be dating a pop star.
Before his rise to the top of professional football, the member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team once shared on X: ‘The moon looks crazy tonight…
‘Imma chill out here for a little and just visualize my success n vibe to the scenary.’
That certainly worked out for one of the greatest tight ends of all time, didn’t it?
Hopefully, this tweet provided a smile on Kelce’s face, if he’s reread it since sharing it in 2010
Kelce once revealed that his go-to breakfast dish on gamedays is French toast.
But, that hasn’t always been the case, with the four-time First-team All-Pro tweeting his love for a classic southern dish, back in 2010.
‘I HOP!!!!!!’ he shared. ‘I love commin here for breakfast!
‘Ummm I think ill have the T-bone steak n Eggs please! Haha with some white toast on the side!’
Kelce once shared his go-to breakfast dish, French toast, but that hasn’t always been the case
Weighing 250 lbs and standing at 6-ft-5, it’s hard to imagine Kelce be comfortable in a go-kart.
He also shared the same concerns, back in the day, tweeting: ‘Bout to go goat-cart racing…
‘Haha hope I fit in the cart!!’
One of the great of all time in his position, the pun worked a treat!
