During the press conference after the match on Saturday night, Man City coach Pep Guardiola received a question about the conflict related to striker Darwin Nunez, after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw in round 13 of the Premier League.

When the opening whistle had just sounded, Guardiola and Nunez had a fight on the touchline. Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp had to intervene to pull his student. The two sides shook hands before the exchange of words between Pep and Nunez escalated tensions.
However, Guardiola was in no mood to talk about this incident. When asked what happened to Nunez, the Spanish player only said: “Nothing”. According to talkSPORT, the Spanish strategist then immediately left the press conference without answering any further questions from the media.
Meanwhile, Klopp gave more insight when talking about his role in “keeping the peace”. The Liverpool captain emphasized that he did not understand what Nunez and Pep were arguing about, and only considered the incident “emotional”.
Klopp said: “I worry about money, right? A person who did not understand what both sides were saying tried to calm the two people down. It’s okay, it’s just feelings, nothing else. Because I love both, maybe I’m the perfect person to do it”.
The draw with Liverpool caused Man City to lose the top spot in the Premier League to Arsenal – the team that defeated Brentford 1-0 in the following match. Green Man is currently ranked 2nd with 29 points, 1 point behind the Gunners. Liverpool ranked 3rd with 28 points.
