She protected her eyes from the afternoon glare with a pair of dark sunglasses as she walked toward the Mercer Hotel.
While she has basically quashed any hopes of a Barbie sequel, explaining to Entertainment Tonight, ‘I think we put everything into this one.’
‘We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something,’ she carries a lot of Hollywood clout after the success of the Greta Gerwig directed blockbuster.
The example set by Barbie, which has earned more than $1.4 billion worldwide, could lay the foundation for more original projects, especially those lead by women.
Speaking from recent experience she asserted, ‘And just because there’s a female lead doesn’t mean it’s not going to hit all four quadrants which is, you know, I think a misconception that a lot of people still have.’
‘It’s really important that Barbie did well,’ Margo continued.
‘As much as it is nice, it’s also really important that it does well so people can also in future have big, original ideas and be given the budget to execute them properly.’

It was announced Monday that Greta Gerwig would received the Director of the Year award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January.
‘Director Greta Gerwig has brought us the cinematic experience of the year with Barbie,’ said Festival chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi.
