The singer, 34, stunned in a bridal themed white sheer dress after arriving at upmarket Italian restaurant Pasquale Jones with her husband, rapper Jay Z.

Elsewhere Canadian model Winnie Harlow put on a colourful display in a thigh-skimming printed dress as she made her way inside.

Taking home the top award – for Video Of The Year- the 34-year-old beauty thanked her family in a gushing acceptance speech.
‘I’d like to thank my beautiful daughter and incredible husband for all of their support,’ she said while sporting her ethereal lace white dress.

Beyonce also slayed in the professional categories as her Formation video earned wins in Best Choreography, Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
Her wins put her over Madonna for the most Moonmen of all-time as she surpassed the Material Girl’s impressive mark of 20.
She came into the night with the most nominations of anyone with a whopping 11.

At the end of the night Rihanna received the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, which is basically a lifetime achievement award for an artist’s effect on MTV culture.
Previous winners of the prize include David Bowie, The Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones, U2, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Kanye West and Michael Jackson, whom the gong is named after.

At the very end of the show, it was none other than her rumoured love-interest Drake who presented the stunner with the golden Moonman.
During the speech, the 29-year-old One Dance hitmaker gushed about her as he said: ‘She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22-years-old.
‘She’s one of my best friends in the world.,’ he added. ‘All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her, even though she’s younger than me.’

He was unable to retrieve the prize at the time due to being ‘stuck in traffic’ explained presenter P. Diddy but obviously showed up later.

During his acceptance speech he snubbed Taylor Swift, his ex who co-wrote the song but did thank another collaborator as he said: ‘I need to thank Rihanna from the bottom of my heart. You’re a superstar.’
